Ballague was spot on. Di maria and falcao mean 433 amd fast counter attacking. What we are famous for really.

He's a good player and you are desperate for a finisher, still need to sort that defence though.

Mata aside its how both rooney and falcao like to play.

Rooney isnt slow. Nor is mata. Neither have incredible pace but nor do most defenders. Pace means f**k all on its own anyway.

Theres also that big eared chap, hes fast as f**k but hes also a world class footballer. He can do the 100mph dash from deep on the counter and dance around the opposition.

I think this is a smart piece of business, Falcao is the best out and out striker in world football. So 6 million for a season long loan is a good deal. His stalk may have dropped a little since having an injury plagued season in France last year, but now he's fit again I see no reason why he won't be the same player he was before.

I'd switch Mata and Di Maria, and have Herrera sit behind Mata with Blind. Blind will sit deep and let Herrera roam around the midfield.

 

See i wouldnt. di maria is better than mata in midfield and has the pace and ability to changed defence into attack by bursting forward. Mata who is brilliant, does it differently. However hes already shown hes world class out wide in his Valencia and chelsea days.

2 different players though. Plenty of players have come back from serious knee injurys and been successful. Our very own Ruud Van Nistlerooy did just that. He's having a medical anyways, so I'm sure they'll be making sure the knee is in full working order, before anything is signed
