It seems as though someone at Cardiff City holds a grudge against the man who captained one of the most successful City sides in the history of the club: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/.../cardiff-citys-departing-captain-mark-7727793 Why would anyone linked with the club do this? Perhaps there should be a thorough email or text enquiry of all staff. Top to bottom.
When you say "top to bottom", are you saying we should start with Tan possibly getting his own back because he might be racist?
I'm saying that Huds has been done an injustice by someone within the club who appears to be trying to destroy his reputation. Not sure where racism came into my article Spark. An open enquiry may help clarify who and for what reason this is being done.
Perhaps the Eggo should stop trying to make mountains out of molehills Though that would mean no negative spin on a story and just some small talk about his time here. He gave 100% and was a great captain but be honest he was an average championship player, Little or no pace, not a lot of skill when using the ball and the QE2 could turn faster than him. Just not good enough for the team OGS is trying to build and create Thanks for your time Mark, you did a great job in a Malky team.
The stance that someone at the club is trying to destroy Hud's reputation is a step too far even for this forum. Other than Mark's allegations that it was said by "someone", there is nothing to support such an assumption. The "racism" remark about Tan was a jovial aside (banter according to the LMA) due to your call for a full email and text enquiry of all staff at the club on the back of the events that surrounded the recent demise of Mr. Mackay. I think whoever suggested that they thought Mark deliberately put the ball in our net was probably either delusional or drunk. Having said that, they should be identified and respond.
Maybe my method of enquiry also had a jovial slant Spark. Agreed though! Name and shame. My article title.
Not suggesting sour grapes on his part, but the ball is in Hud's court after opening his mouth about the (alleged) suggestion. He clearly knows who it is. “I’ve made mistakes, I’ve scored own goals before, but I’ve never had someone at the club accuse me of putting the ball into my own net on purpose. It wasn’t the manager, but what was suggested is not something you want to hear at all." "WalesOnline have had it confirmed that questions over the own goal were asked, but quickly quashed by staff." If that's the case, it's up to Huds to put up or shut up. The naming and shaming has got to be down to him - or is he too "old school" to do it? If that's the case, he should never have mentioned it in the interview in the first place and just moved on.
hudds would never score a deliberate own goal for gods sake......He served cardiff well and just would not do that....what professional player would...
that is disgraceful, hudson showed fantastic commitment when he was here and thoroughly professional. i'd like to see that moron named and shamed.
So did someone say it to him? Or just what he heard from someone else? Though it is always good to for the Eggo to get a negative twist in the story.
He should forget the hearsay and rumour and just remember that he is the only Cardiff City captain to take a Bluebird team into the premier league, everything else is secondary! And in terms of goals, a couple of own goals pale into insignificance compared to THAT goal!!!
Huds is, and has always been held up to be a model professional. For anyone to suggest to him to his face that he'd deliberately put that ball in the net is incredible. I would have thought some snide remark was made by someone at the club that was either overheard by Huds or reported to him later. Anyway, why would he want to have done it at the time? According to him, he wasn't told he was surplus to requirements until 3 days before the Fulham game. When selected against Wolves, Huds said he'd been told he was an integral part of Ole's plans for this season so he'd have no motive whatsoever. Load of bollucks and just a shame that Huds had to mention it at all to the vultures at WOL.
surely the press wouldn't lie iggy, and surely in a country of integrity and moral standing wouldn't allow such an act
