So we have all our players in, you've seen them play. Can poyet take this Sunderland team beyond 40 points? I am going to say yes a steady 45 points. Your thoughts
We are performing quite poorly but picking up points from difficult fixtures. That has to suggest well get more points than in recent years. I'm going 52
Yes, between 45 and 50. We're in a better state than last season and that will show in the final league standings.
Bloody hell, I'd be well chuffed with that!! I reckon between 40-45 this season, and it's an improvement, so good enough for me.
We're undefeated against Man Utd & Spurs as well as gaining an away draw on the opening day. We've come from behind 4 times in 3 games and could've done at QPR, signs that we have the determination seriously lacking last season. We have 3 times as many points as this stage last season and have scored 5 goals, can't remember how that compares tbh ....... better I reckon. We had half a dozen decent attacking players on the pitch at the end of yesterday's game. I think we'll end up with 50+ ........
Once gus finds his best 11 then yes I think it maybe ...............................vito Vergin/jones?...o'shea/coates..brown.....pva ..........................catts ..............................rodwell Aj.......................alvarez....................giacc/gomez ..........................whickham / denotes undecided

Fighting point against a class Spurs performance says for team spirit; the signs are we are not too far away from a hard to beat team. However, points against the better teams, but lose to the ****e so far. Sound familiar? Another QPR performance against Burnley will give us more idea.
If you made this point last season then yes I'd agree with you! Like other SAFC fans have suggested we're scoring goals this season and the guts & determination is there mate! I hope/we should/**** my pants if we don't beat Burnley lol
Early season form seems to be luck of the draw for us. Every year we seem to have to wait ages to get a crack at a few donkeys at home. Last year was a horror, this year marginally better. Once the draw evens out, I reckon we'll show ourselves to be a 45-48 point team. Boy would I take that!
Really?? How can you say that? What if we have 4 goals incorrectly disallowed and they score a goal from an offside handball? Surely that wouldn't mean anything. One game does not make or define a season. Look at Spurs on Saturday - outplayed us but could only get a point. We could do the same to Burnley but that wouldn't define the season
I can't honestly see us getting 40 this season - not at the moment anyway. It's all right saying that fighting spirit has improved and we've come back from behind in three games. But we've been behind in four games out of four! Our opposition so far has been one team clearly better than us ('Spurs) one team badly out of form (Man. U.) and two teams around our level. Three points from that doesn't fill me with optimism. We've also got a manager/head coach who just lu-u-rvs to play out-and-out strikers like Borini and Wickham on the left, and a naturally talented left-of-centre striker (Altidore) in the centre, and will do anything, absolutely anything, but listen to reason. Confidence? - No. I pray for seventeenth or higher, but that's all I can do right now. Read my address below - the faith in this mob has long, long since gone.
I think you're just a little pessimistic, but given our last few seasons who the f** wouldn't be. I think we'll be fine. We have more quality in the side and goals are coming from midfield. Our strikers are definitely a handicap until one or more of them hit a purple patch. Its far, far too early to speculate at the minute. Lets see where we are at Christmas before we start judging (though we were down at Christmas last year, its usually a pretty good guide to the season's end).
Top ten finish. Trust me Poyet will get our starting eleven sorted soon <fingerscrossedsmiley> ( Larsson gets pregnant and takes maternity leave. ) and they can improve by getting used to each other. We have seen glimmers of a reasonable team, but the chopping and changing has to stop. I thought Buckley did well for us his first game and I would have started him the next. Poyet has to sort his first team out quick mind.
