Was the booing definately for the CTID chant or was there booing against that and then more peple booing the booers? (this could get confusing). Just seems strange for East standers to have been involved in this
The CTID chant seemed pretty short compared to previous games....AA will say the boo's were for CTID/CTWD/Anti name changers and CTWD will say the majority of boo's were directed at the initial booers. There'll be some Tuckeresque spin from both sides.
I've been in the North stand every home game so far and the atmosphere has been brilliant. Last night it was awful, caused by a combination of a half empty stand due to the obvious over-pricing, the gap between City fans and away fans, and the fact that many of the loyal supporters and singers have been disillusioned by Allams ramblings. None of the chants really gained any momentum and it was no different at 19:04, the boos from the library - oh sorry the West Stand - further pissed off the singers and after that the atmosphere was very flat. So congratulations anyone who booed. Not only did you fail to add anything productive to the atmosphere, but you also inflicted damage on it for the majority of the game and quite possibly future games. I'm sure you're not bothered though, after all Yaya Toure is coming to the KC soon.
I would never boo any City chant - however people really need to be careful with all these suggestions that those who booed are all Premiership plastics....it's ****ing sad that they booed but not a temperature check on how long they've followed Hull City or why they pay to get in.
I am in the middle lower West and no one near me was booing, in fact many commented on "listen to those idiots booing". I actual felt that it was made worse by probably people booing the others that were booing.
Maybe so! But when the booing started everyone near me looked to their left which was the middle! But I spoke to a south stander and he said he looked to his right which was east!
Me too(behind the away dug-out) and I didn't notice much around me other than the bloke in front of me, who looked like a paedo and never normally sits there. It sounded loudest from the East where I was.
Booing definitely came from the south east corner. Well unless of course it came from the music system?
I'm in east, and it sounded like it was coming from the east, towards south. Can't say I heard any from North, but don't hear them or west much anyway from east.
I think it gives the numbers some context when nobody can pin point where these people were in the ground. The only one I saw didn't look all there. I wasn't sure if he was doing it as a "joke".
Just listened to it on the TV recording. Booing is louder and clearer on there than the original "City 'til I die" singing. Guess Rupert Murdoch is on Assem's side
Sad night for me last night, I finally realised I really have fallen out of love with city. I'm not a ctwd member but wasn't in favour of the name change and supported allam for what he has achieved at city. When the booing started I knew it was so wrong but just couldn't get angry about it. When I started watching city(1989) I absolutely lived and breathed the club and "enjoyed" the fish out campaigns with sit in protests etc that followed. I travelled all over watching proper **** football but made so many friends who felt the same that how **** we was didn't matter and the odd great result made it worthwhile. Me from back then would have been fuming last night but I just think this modern football isn't for me so this will be my last season no matter what happens with the name etc. Hope it stays hull city though!
Not watched it back yet. I dont think it was loud but was by a lot of people. Very disappointing to see two mods try and make out the people doing it were paedophiles or mentally ill. Well done lads.
