Tempted to go for a Toon win. TBH nothing we do will remove Ashley, and by extension Pardew, so I will wave the white flag, ignore everything except my tribal instinct to want us to win and hope for the best.

Palace will win.

Pardew knows he's on rocky ground and the only thing likely to p*ss Mike off more than poor league form is Pardew fielding a strong side in the cup only to lose in the league a few days later. Saylor, Perez, Abeid, Anita, Obertan, Sammy and Elliott will all play. Only Anita and Perez of that lot have any ability. We will lose, make no mistake.

I'd personally rather win a Stoke then at Palace though. Given our poor start 3 points in the league are vital.

 

I think we must play a strong team. Yes the result wasn't great but the feel good factor of clawing back a 2 goal defecit means we have positive momentum. We should look to build on it. **** Mike and his grand designs on mediocrity tinged with a bit of cup failure. 2-1 win if we do the right thing.

 

I am going to see if anything like those prices are available now. If so, then I am laying Newcastle all the way at those prices.

 

I have a feeling that Pardew will play as strong a team as possible in the hope that a Win will instil some confidence in the team.
I think he'll want to build on from the Hull draw and be able to go positively onto Stoke.

So, a week or two after PR "disaster expert" comes in, a mysterious "bug" has sidelined Krul, Cisse and Gouffran. With Elliot and Arma now likely to start, I guess we'll turn our attention to the league campaign/relegation fight before eventually some half-baked illness strikes ahead of our FA Cup 3rd round match. Then we can look forward to next season.
