Even with the whole "we're all in this together" aspect, I can't see Ferrari being happy with their young driver being replaced with one of Red Bull's.
Does he have a superlicense? I thought FP1 mileage was part of acquiring one. On Russian customs laws, I've read that it's something to do with getting parts approved for import which takes time, not the actual movement of parts. So parts made after the Suzuka race wouldn't have got approval, but older spares in the UK factory could make it to Sochi.
All this customs just on the off chance that Marussia are smuggling in parts for a spy drone to snoop on the leaders of the motherland?
Since Sunday I can't even go without think about Jules once in a while, don't know about everybody else.
Yeah, I know the feel mate. Just glad they didn't show the crash live or I'd probably be thinking about it a lot more. That's what happened when I saw Simoncelli's accident. On a somewhat lighter note, I've gone against the grain and voted for Nico. He's due a good race.
I can see someone different from Hamilton winning this because something spicy happening is due, just don't want to bet on it though.
Looks like a cross between COA and Yas Marina circuit, Hamilton's got a decent record at both, if he adapts just as quick to this circuit as those others, he could very well win here too...
http://www.thecheckeredflag.co.uk/2014/10/russian-grand-prix-weighing-options-marussia/ Doesn't really tell us much apart from what Marussia's options are (essentially, they'll most likely either pull out or just run Chilton - I can't see Rossi or Stevens wanting to make their debut at the minute) but does make a rather poignant (and hopefully unfounded) comparison to Simtek and the man everyone forgets, Roland Ratzenberger.
If they want to and can get another chassis together, perhaps Petrov could make a single race appearance? He had rich supporters and it's the inaugural Russian GP, so could help Marussia financially whilst offering a reasonably experienced pair of hands for a weekend. I think running one car is more likely though.
I really dislike the look of turn 3, the track itself looks like will be a nightmare for the tyres. I can see Williams and Mercedes fighting for the podium with Red Bull and Mclaren just behind.
Ever since the success of turn 8 at Turkey (lovely track BTW), Tilke appears to be adding a similar corner to all his new tracks!

Rossi has been registered but it is not sure if they will race with both cars. They could well just run with Chilton. They have been given permission by the FIA to do whatever they see fit with the second car.
