I have to agree too, Grosjean was desperately unlucky to get penalised compared to Rosberg. I think having an ever-changing panel of stewards is part of the problem, and hasn't this come after they agreed to loosen things up a bit?

Simple, Grosjean has a past reputation for being erratic, and Rosberg doesn't. <ok>

Anyway, regarding the "race" (or whatever the hell it was), firstly it was boring as sin, it's like Valencia's bastard cousin, and secondly, Bernie going out of his way to give Putin oral was pretty desperate and annoying. Since when did drivers have to group together at the front to listen to the anthem, and since when were non FIA personnel allowed in the drivers room after a race? I have nothing against Putin, sure i disagree with some of his politics but it's a largely cultural thing, but he shouldn't have been in the drivers room.

That doesn't mean every incident is him being erratic though.

The stewards are not equal with points and penalties, some of the ones on KMag in particular have been laughable.

It started with promise and turned in to a complete bore-fest. Even the drivers seemed like they were bored out there. Awful "race".

If i remember right, wasn't the last race at Valencia actually quite good?

    Awful track though.

I don't really know what to make of that circuit. The first half a dozen laps were absolutely frantic, then like you say, it descended into a complete bore-fest. The problem was there was so much overtaking early on that they were all pretty much in pace order before the race had really got going. I don't think you can really blame the track for that, if anything it was too good for overtaking. I saw the GP3 race and that was absolutely thrilling, In a series where it's been nigh on impossible to overtake this season, you had three drivers changing places and battling for the win on the last lap,

At the end of the day my overriding emotion was frustration with myself for wasting two hours of my day off watching that ****e.

I guess a combination of new track and wrong tyres. Maybe if they had the soft and supersofts but who knew that you could drive a whole race on one set of tyres. Lol. I guess next time they will bring the supersofts.

Hamilton must be laughing in his helmet to be honest. Rosberg keeps repeating the same old mistakes it's almost too easy. It's a shame because a cool calculated Rosberg has a shot of beating him.

I honestly thought that after his stunt in Belgium, Nico would have the upper hand mentally, but if anything, he's actually crumbled. Maybe the public shaming from his bosses got to him?

Didn't Alonso win it from something like 11th? Maldo took Hamilton out, Vettel broke down, and Schumacher made the podium?

Edit: Looked it up and that was spot on, go me!

Rosberg's qualifying has been great this year but his races have been average compared to his team mate. I can't believe he's won 4 races to Hamilton's 9 yet he's only 17 points behind though.

........Just watched the race. I can't remember ever seeing a worse race in my life. Rosberg escaped a little with his mistake but did what he had to do once he'd made it.

If you're going to lock up you might as well do it properly.

That was a great race, and Alonso's emotion afterwards made it even better

Yeah... I thought it might be the nail in the coffin for Hamilton. Somehow not though.

I've always found it odd that people saw the fallout from Belgium as Rosberg somehow gaining a psychological advantage. It looked more like the first signs of his desperation to me.

Given how well Rosberg and Hamilton know each other and have raced for years it's strange that Rosberg doesn't seem to know how to emulate Hamilton when trying to be more aggressive. The only thing he seems know how to do is bung one up the inside and hope it sticks. Very reminiscent of my "technique" when playing Grand Tourismo.
