The only thing I truly fear is being so ill and crippled that I hurt the loved ones around me and impact negatively on their lives!

not really affraid of dying as its goin gto happen, but the method of which i die leads to some fears, i would hate to drown or burned alive!!! i would hate to be paralysed too!

p.s another fear is newcastle winning the league!! but that looks as likely as me sprouting wings and flying in my lifetime

It's supposed to be the most Euphoric way to die along with suffocation. Starving the brain of Oxygen gets you high. It's a pleasant death once you stop panicking... Apparently.

Buried alive is my biggest fear.

i'd like to go to bed, manay many years from now and not wake up if i'm gonna pop me cloggs.

i've never met anyone who drowned and lived to tell the tale, i caanot imagine how it would be pleasant. buried alive suffocates you too snd would be equally ****.

to lose your marbles has to be the worst, full on alzheimers of the most extreme would equte to no life at all. my mrs and I have agreed to go to Amsterdam or Switzerland for a weekend if that happens

Being buried alive is my worst nightmare as well, but I don't fear it as such as it's very f**ing unlikely to happen. My day to day phobias, such as spiders and more so, heights cause me more angst than anything else.

The worst possible way to die for me is a plane crash that I survive, followed immediately by saying "Phew I'm alive", then turning round and seeing a nest full of adult Brazilian Wandering Spiders who want to eat me.

I'm with the hate flyers on this one. When I moved here got a job where I had to fly. 250,000 air miles early days and I was **** scared every single one of them. Had a family to support so took one for the team. The biggest thing that pisses me off is people who look cool in airport....maybe that could be a new thread. Me in an airport....don't even want to come near me..lol

I turn really racist in airports I've been told it's an anxiety symptom, all I know is it's friggin horrible!

I seen an Islamic-looking woman doing some weird prayer thing as I was boarding a flight from Bangkok to London as I was putting my bag in the overhead lockers and I said "What the **** is she doing on here" and I reckon from that point forward everybody on the flight hated me <laugh>

The thing about being buried alive that scares me is restricted movement I have to deal with mania for long periods so I just can't keep still, try restraining me and I'll go completely mental, there's a few coppers in Darlington who'd testify to that, the restriction would be more than I could bear, I'd probably die of a heart attack before I suffocated.

A lot of birds I've slept with have loved being choked as they climax, a few have passed out and loved it so there must be something in the Euphoria theory.

I was once seeing a bird who loved all that, got too much for me... pain and stuff. f** that, that's gonna end up going wrong!

I get the same feeling mate, although it's not clinical, I'm just a fidgety f**er all the time, can't stay still in bed it drives the mrs crazy. I have this awful sensation of not being able to turn over or put my knees up as there's no room and that's horrible. I'd be in there doing that Kill Bill punch thing hoping to get out like, I doubt I'd die of a heart attack.

I always thought if you could get yourself into the leg press position, back against the floor and feet against the top of the coffin then you'd have a chance of pushing your way out, but you're looking at over 2 metric tonnes of soil above you at 6ft under, you'd not know how deep you were though, so still be thinking 'if only I could get my legs upto my chest'.

I would probably die from cramp trying to get my legs up!

Had a flight two weeks after 9/11 to Dallas. I can remember counting how many Middle Eastern guys on the flight. Don't think I blinked at all during the flight in case anything was going to happen....madness. On a plane struck by lightening while waiting for take off in Kennedy Airport. If they had opened the doors then I still think I would be clutching the run way. Boarded flight in Boston...someone apparently made joke about bomb in their back pack. Next thing Swat teams coming from everywhere and ended up hands against wall, legs apart in terminal building. Coming into land at LAX and all of a sudden the plane went into full thrust mode to climb. The pilot came on and announced that a small plane got where a small shouldn't have. When the plane landed the pilot and co pilot left the plane straight away. Guessed they were pissed....not going to mention what my underpants were like. Finally, on a SouthWest into Las Vegas it was really bumpy....the flight attendant who was an elderly lady started to sing "achy breaky heart" all the way into the landing....classic.....

Not scared of flying at all, but can barely get myself on a plane these days. To me, they are nothing but cylindrical torture chambers that I cannot escape. Flew approx 4-6x a month for 25 years. Earl days, no problem. Plenty of room. Now, I can't fit in my seat, everyone carries on 18 pieces of luggage and most flights seem to get delayed. I just want off. And on two occasions, I have done. Got my ****, got up and walked off. Too many bad experiences to talk about. Drugs help, but I have the resistance of Keith Richards.

Big anniversary next year, the wife is set on Paris. From San Francisco, that is my worst nightmare. Already have horrible anxiety just thinking about it. Makes me drink.

    Haha, nasty **** mate.

Our plane back from Spain was struck by lightning last year, I thought the plane had snapped in half the noise was incredible, the mrs jumped out of her skin. I was surprisingly calm at the time, but other people panicking made me sweat a bit. Horrible experience.

See people with Burkhas on in airports though mate, they make me very uneasy. I asked the check in girl how they know it's the right woman under the veil and she said 'I don't know' **** sake.
