Perhaps, though maybe we now have a modicum of momentum and confidence to take into the game which might just swing things? Hope so, as I'll be sat with the home fans for that one...

Absolutely. If the strongest team always won then we might as well all pack up and let Chelski and Sheikh City battle it out between themselves. Would love to see us pull off a surprise win.

ACS can you have a word with your fellow Mod PleaseNotPoll? I made a post which broke no rules, just rubbed it in for a laugh, and he's had a meltdown and deleted it, and deleted subsequent toned down posts... That's not what a mod is for FFS

    He's having a meltdown!!!

Thought we would be hammered when I saw the teamsheet, man I love beating spurs. Beating them away, forget about it.

Great win. Great performance. Defensively very good. Colo and Saylor look good. Dummett was excellent and Janmaat too. Sissoko set the standard last week and followed it up. Starting to put the effort in and it shows. When he has played centrally previously, he has wanted a free ride. He has finally begun to understand that won't happen here, it ain't ligue 1. Sammy outstanding when he came on. Colback was steady. Perez was excellent too.

Don't rate Gouffran at present. Still can't see why he starts. Krul's kicking is beyond a joke. Its not even funny, nor is his obsession with launching it. However his handling and command of his box was very good. Cabella showed a little more. Great subs by Pards and he must take a lion share of the credit today.

Can't quite believe we won and were good value for it.

My alarm failed to go off so I could get up and watch the game....and we won.

Perhaps I should not watch us more often.

Pardew will no doubt point to the fact that I missed the game as to why we won !

My alarm clock has clearly been Pardew'd !

You can save yourself some time and don't bother with the first half. Make sure you watch from them coming out for the 2nd half. Our first is scored while their fullback is still coming down the tunnel.

    Pardew's post match interview:
    "It was Cronemeister's alarm failing...
"That meant he missed the game...
"And so we won! Wait! What? We won, f***ing hell!"

Rule number 1 in betting is that you do not bet on Newcastle United ever. Most unpredictable team that exists.

i put a quid each on about 8 different "hammered" scores...odds from 100/1 to 500/1
i will quite happily lose a few quid to watch newcastle win away at spurs :)
still not convinced on pardew though. i want to see the same attacking football even when we have a fully fit squad.
