I would think that after spending around £200m since he arrived that Rodgers is doing the "ULTIMATE SPURS"
So you don't want to win a trophy? Or are you gunning for Arsenal's 'fourth place trophy'...? (we'll take third instead ) Edit: not that we're winning **** like
Nope, when rodgers hit out at Spurs saying that all that spend should mean a title challenge...... Well it looks like a tilt at 4th is a title challenge now
Far too early to say We could be quadrouple winners come next summer And I don't mean winning 4 matches in total
He did indeed, but it appears that he's changed his tune on what you should expect to deliver with £100m. Probably because he's spent more than double that, and is back where he started......
I see you have the same trait as Tobes; twist the conversations direction to suit your point You was talking about selling a star and blowing the cash. We did it first when we sold Torres and bought Carroll and co. Spurs therefore did a Liverpool and we've just done it a second time
Well this was fun....Luv and his big spoon lol.... So no, most knew last year was what it was, an attack on form, covering for a weak defence.it's why we didn't win the league despite how many our attack scored. Rodgers did what he could to maximise the attack I.e did the best with what he had. As pointed out above...I'm not sure HE knows what he's got now to make the most out of it but I'm confident he'll figure it out over the season. This is the reality check and back to waiting to see if he can develop a young squad of his own picks. But someone just pointed it out....and I mean no disrespect to KD but if Rodgers big mistake is Ballotelli...that's only 16 million quid..not our largest feck up by a long way, or that of a certain few other managers either...none of whom were ultimately judged solely on the few mistakes... As I said, back to the five year slow crawl up the table with the hope of getting CL enough times to attract the players that we will certainly need to compete for the two titles. I firmly believe that this squad can develop into a nifty unit. And that's without any improvements in the next couple of years transfers. or Unless we uncover more talent... Or my hope, a team that doesn't rely on the one superstar. They can come in and make us very special but if and when they leave it doesn't cause this type of strife.
So really Rodgers got his dig in with a missing line... Spurs have done a Liverpool, spending £100m and not getting a title push
