Never happy to lose but the ref looked like he'd have enjoyed sending off more players ... Borini seemed to target Taylor and the way Jonjo went at Balotelli things could have got nasty.

fair comment cartoon.<ok> gutted we lost but relieved at the same time. An extra 30 minutes would do us more harm than good as liverpool were all over us and it would have only been a matter of time before they scored anyway....I dont mind the better side overall winning and we can also take some positives out of the game as well.....back to the bread and butter games now and thats much more important...

To be honest - so what if the red card is rescinded ? it's too ****en late now - we lost ? Are they gonna replay the game ? We have to have TV replays. We can't trust humans to get these decisions correct in a split second and it is ruining football.

Said this last week. With 4 officials overseeing the game then wrong decisions should be a rare thing...

Let's not fall into the victim mentality - yep, some poor decisions, but slag refs off and they will punish us more - they are sad and insecure little individuals - that's why they need to be protected so much by the FA!

we were as good 2nd half as we were poor 1st and we deserved at least a draw but fair play to Pool they did a professional job on us at the end and made the most of another disgusting refs decision. some positives to take from that - Fulton, Shelvey, excellent goal and a solid defensive display (up til the last few mins) and some negatives - Gomis, Emnes and Dyer were inefectual (especially 1st half) and too often we lacked compusure. final word for Tremmel - im gutted for him, he doesnt get much game time and he was solid throughout up til the last minute and now will feel responsible for the goal.
onwards and upwards - we can go to Everton with some confidence.
ps like to see what happened with Shelvey/Balotelli and hear what Monk has to say!
