Well done. Good luck. Shocking red card tbf. Does Mario want to be at Liverpool? Looked like he could give one again tonight (good goal tho) and picking on Jonjo ... like he needs an excuse for a bust up! I see Borini is up to same stuff as he was when he was with us.
Yep - if it's Scouse Laura on twitter then it must be true!!! Love the Scouse humour - feckin priceless!
Something happened off the ball. Looked like Balotelli went to ground for some reason, and they kept arguing after. From the replay it didn't look like there was much in it tbh.
Yeah I got commentator bit but thought he must be saying it for a reason. Strange terminology Ah okay, im hoping non HD stays free
The media have made a mountain out of a molehill in regards to Balotelli. They've written so much about him and he's done nothing negative of note, other than not score and have the typical Mario demeanour on the pitch. Some of our fans were calling for him to be sold, but to be honest this will kickstart him and give him the backing of the fans. He does want to be here IMO. He's keeping out of the headlines (other than walking up to women, which is apparently grounds for the BBC to write an attack) and like most of us said, with a partner up front he's looked much better. Red card was shocking but let's be honest, from real time it looked a definite sending off. Swansea could possibly appeal, not sure. Borini had a good game but needs to start getting in slightly better positions.
Im outside the Kop waiting for the fecking bus - but if I see that ref he's having a fecking pizza up the arse.
Shelvey is always mouthing off - and Mario is an accident waiting to happen - just give em both a handbag and leave em sort it out!
The boy found a stream so saw the last 10mins... Good goal by Mario, great ball in by Fabio.. The ref, was he auditioning for a Spec Savers advert, that wasn't a Yellow let alone a Red, from the (admititdely poor stream), looked a damn decent tackle, hope you guys get an appeal in, no way that doesn't get over-turned. Like others have said, glad it didn't go to Extra time, with the fixtures we've got coming up need to be as fresh as possible. Good luck for the rest of the season lads, keep up the performances and I don't see why you guys can't finish top7!
In this regard we have bought a perfect replacement for Suarez he easily fills those column inches and causes enough controversy. The negativity has been warranted I think from fans and journos because even for Balotelli he's had a shocking few weeks. The last two games against Hull at the weekend and tonight getting a goal he's looked a bit better, a teeny tiny bit, more movement and a higher work rate, also looks more interested. What's your reasoning behind saying he doesn't want to be playing for us though? Think he's very lucky we showed an interest and had the problems finding a new striker that we had as no club at a higher level than us would entertain the idea. Can you imaging Bayern, Real, Barca or PSG signing him? Never in a month of Sundays.
It didn't look a sending off in Real Time. Both players went in for a 50-50 challenge. Would Coutinho have had a red if he had won the ball? Answers on a postcard ..........
Got to laugh at the Yank commentators. If it was sound only you wouldn't know what sport they were watching. From what I could see on a very poor stream, Balo tried to peel away and ran into Jonjo, they squared up for a second, Shelvey stuck his head out about an inch and Mario crumpled onto the floor. He lay there for about a minute until he noticed that the game was still going on then got up. They moaned at each other for the rest of the game, that was it as far as I could tell. Still, that's two goals Mario's got now. Golden boot this season, I reckon. Swans were unlucky with the red card- silly decision. I only saw the one replay but it didn't even look much of a foul to me- Coutinho was going in hard himself. I thought it was a 50-50 ball. Anyway, that's two recent games we've won at the death, so we can at least take that crumb of comfort from our general ****ness this season. I think we deserved to win this one on the balance of play.
Her was already at a club at a higher level (Milan) and doing quite well, 2012/13 13 league games 12 goals, 2013/14 30 league games 14 goals. It seems Brendan has no idea how to use a player he bought!
Few thoughts - Our play in the final third was near inexistant. No movement from Lambert and Borini was pretty dire apart from one shot (which he missed) and the cross at the end for the goal. - Coutinho was visibly looking for runners - he will benefit from Sturridge's return. Our best player tonight by a distance. - Manquillo is streets ahead of Johnson. - Johnson is much better on the left, as we all know. - Markovic showed flashes of talent but still lacking an end product. In the first half he was however our brightest spark after Coutinho. Even though he isn't impacting the scoreline yet he is a very tidy footballer. Will take time but the signs are that he's worth waiting for. - When we speed our game up we cause problems - we dominated large parts of the game without any threat before they scored. Again we desperately need Sturridge back to bring that speed fully back. - That Gomis is an absolute donkey. - Montero is very average - no brain. - Jones wasn't at fault and made one or two saves... but what's the point? - Lambert just can't do it in this formation/with the team playing so poorly. Maybe just not good enough? Or lacking confidence to lead like he did at the Saints?
