Ok a story quite possibly made up by the media. Connor Wickham pondering move abroad when Sunderland contract expires Sunderland signed Connor Wickham from Ipswich in a deal worth up to £8m Striker has netted just 10 times in 60 games for the Black Cats since move The 21-year-old's Sunderland contract expires at the end of the season He can speak to foreign clubs in January and is contemplating move abroad Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...underland-contract-expires.html#ixzz3HstLm3lb The question remains the same, should he just go, or do some still believe he's the new messiah, and worth bowing down to, and pay him a kings ransom?
This club just doesn't learn. How many more players are we going to lose because of our crap negotiations. Having said that, with Wickham, I really wouldn't be that fussed, the kid has flattered to deceive for a long time now. I actually think he believes he is much better than he is. In 3 or 4 years time he will be playing for someone like Peterborough, somewhere near to his home town.
Im hopeful Short will open the cheque book in January and bring in a forward. If Wickham is still pissing about then sell for what we can as long as its not to a team in and around us.
Shameless is right, should have shown him the door in the summer, cut out losses and brought someone in to do the job . Conner aint for me, not a Premier League forward. Can't understand those who big him up on here.
The question remains the same, should he just go, or do some still believe he's the new messiah, and worth bowing down to, and pay him a kings ransom? He's not the Messiah, he' a very naughty boy.
I know his goals at the arse end of last season effectively kept us up & for that I thank him. He's shown he can do it when he wants but I think the lad has a bad case of can'tbearsedness. Pondering a move abroad? Where to Connor? Has he been inundated with offers from Spain or Italy? I can see this lads career falling into ruins tbh.
play him in the correct place on the pitch and give him a run in that role ,thats the answer it must be
He has all the ability but just like Borini he is more interested in money than playing football every week. Get rid as he is not interested and we need to buy a new striker. Fletcher is a good no.2 but we need a no.1 and its going to be expensive. 15m is how much were going to need to spend along with big wages.
Remember the days of SuperKev, oh for a striker who can notch consistently at this level . It would be mint.
Now there was a strker with the RIGHT attitude. Happy days in the Terminus where the only talk before the game was how many we would win by and expecting SKP to score in every game. He was a talent but also a grafter
Which translates to me as 'No premiership clubs are interested due to my clients ****e form, this is my last throw of the dice to try and get Sunderland to up their contract offer, hope I can fool them even though they know, I know, I'll struggle to better his present contract overseas.' Wickham's Agent.
The formation we playing at the minute then Wickham should play as the forward. he is faster & stronger than Altidore & Fletcher. it's ****ing stupid playing him left wing.
He's quite fast and focused if given any sort of chance, unfortunately the remainder of his skillset doesn't go so well.
Just watched the below video again, as far as i can tell, borini set up most of connors goals and scored arguably the more important ones, wickham set up larsons at united, not sure who put the corner in v cardiff, suggests to me we should maybe have gone all out for fabio as he looks more instrumental in the miracle the conner himself believes
