after their demolition of Luton last week , town will have to use every inch of fortress Greenhous on Saturday to gain 3 points. after surrendering 2 points at calamity Cambridge, town need 3 points to stay in 3rd place. imo
I see Ellison is still going strong and we must beware of complacency at home but if we play well we should beat them.
My first game since leaving - I was in London with family when Exeter hosted the mighty Shrews, and I'm looking forward to it.
Hope you enjoyed the game Lenny. Frustrating to watch in some ways in that the final ball was repeatedly slowed up whilst players looked about for what to do and whilst this happened their defence sorted themselves out. On another though we could have won 5-0 with all of those shots.
Teams are now coming to Greenhous Meadow with very little attacking intent -lets hope Wycombe will be an exception so we can have a better game next week. I thought MM might have been a bit more imaginative with two subs still available after Mangan's belated appearance. Passley had a poor game and was not playing the percentages by putting crosses in early -as he had very few defensive duties in the second half I thought Vincent (a specialist winger) could have replaced him. Another possibility would have been to put Vernon on to have one extra attacker in their penalty area as their two centre halves looked pretty comfortable dealing with most things. Attack v defence is not the most enthralling spectacle as we are constantly playing in front of two ranks of four but I suppose it is a back-handed compliment in that very few teams think they have a chance of winning in an open game of football.
nice to see town and MM get a great mention on FL show, praising our home record. it is high time our goal shy strikers started scoring goalfests and emulating young tom's one man band efforts at Walsall. if we are serious about promo and staying in L1 we need to up our away form pronto.
Atcham, I am pleased to see Bradshaw doing well at Walsall - he always had potential but we never found the right partner for him. Even Ronaldo or Messi would have not got into double figures for us last season (now that's what I call Fantasy Football) as we created so little.
The success rate of our strikers needs sorting if we are to maintain an auto position. Yep bradders is also doing well and good luck to him. He needed a fresh start and got one, shame some didn't spot that potential when he was here.
