Daniella Matar is an Italian sport journalist, working for the Associated Press in Milan. DaniellaMatar: Great news #saintsfc fans - #Inter have given you Osvaldo back! DaniellaMatar: Don't worry #saintsfc fans. Osvaldo's prob off to #Juventus soon anyways. And if not, just do what #Inter are doing - sue him for 28m! So... now what? I get the impression Ron wants to keep him as far away from the squad as possible. Hopefully the Juventus loan materialises sharpish. DTLW
In yesterday's press conference Ronald was resolute that Osvaldo is away for the season. So whatever happens, I don't think he'll come anywhere near to Southampton's team.
Daily Mail (I know) article says that we intervened stopping Juventus taking him straight off of Inter. The apparent reason is that we want to use him to help our existing deals. I wonder if that means sending him to Feyenoord or Benfica? Or whether we have another deal on the quiet that could be made to happen using him. I figured the main snag on the lad from Benfica is probably the admin involved of cancelling his existing loan deal (maybe Mainz want something out of this) Vilhena they want more money and a replacement Or it could be rubbish and he will just go to Juve...
The guy (?) is the biggest tool ever. Not really sure who bought but just shows, however things seem to be going great at mo, we can screw up. Let's take a "damage limitation" stance, as much as we can(!), & learn (club & us) & move on.
If Juve do want him it just shows how good a player he actually is that massive teams will still take him on knowing full well that there is basically a guarantee that he will do something ****ing stupid at some point.
We've moved on already...Dani would get a "computer says no" from the magical black box transfer wizard before he'd even flashed up on the big screen.
Osvaldo must like living in a drama. I bet that, although it happens again and again, he will never believe it is him.
He wouldn't want to be here and we wouldn't want him to be...but can see why Saints would want to be involved. He's our asset...you can't have another team just shift him on at their whim.
Would we forgive him if he scored the winning goal against City on the last day to take us into the Champions League? (Clue: No).
