Huge win! A game of missed chances, but thankfully we were the only team who managed to take one! Thought Villa weren't up to much, but glad that Monk made the change around 60 mins when it was obvious that the tide was turning in Villa's favour. Montero makes a world of difference at 0-0 as opposed to 1-0 down!

So pleased for Bafé - been a believer in him and have always seen his good play, even if it's often accompanied with some sloppiness/poor finishing. I hope he can push on from here and pick up at least 4 more goals before the end of the season. The winning goals against Arsenal and Villa, the winning goal against United (albeit lucky), and the header against West Ham that gained us a point through an own goal - no matter how good or bad he's been, the lad has directly won us 10 points this season. Yes, he could score more, but he's played and is continuing to play his part for this team this season.

Pleased for Gomis today I thought he worked quite hard and got in some good positions. One hell of a powerful defensive header in the 2nd half. This should set us up for 50 plus

Let's see the positives; At least you can normally predict what time you need to get home from the pub to see the swans highlights.

3 points plenty to be pleased about, not least some fine attacking play - Routledge had his best game for ages, Naughton was more in the game Fed showed his class and Cork continues to impress. An average game from Ash but he didn't need to be more & Fab saved when called on and commanded the penalty area pretty well.
A very similar pattern to the game as Monday - the difference was we were playing a team of decent quality at home. Siggy not at his best (again); Ki, Taylor and Shelvey faded in the second half and Shelveys head fell again. Once again subs were not used early enough (IMO).
Montero made a huge impact and of course Gomis got goal.
Not sure why we were rushing to take throws in when a goal up and in injury time!
A good result for us at Stoke but, as I can't see us getting above 8th, the points total and 8th place finish has to be the aim for the rest of the season as far as the league is concerned.
