Sending off wrong players has been the recent issue down south. Some form of conspiracy if you ask me.

I don't think the officials are out to get us, but I do think there is a cover up taking place in this instance. Same as DougieGate, something does not add up.

They could have hung them out to dry ...but have decided that it woukd achive **** all.

They were willing to throw Meekings to the wolves just to protect their own, I don't see why anyone should move on when we have peopl;e like that running our game. It's supposed to be an organisation whose primary interest is the clubs, not their own employees.

Yep, and this is an ideal opportunity to show them for what they are, incompetent fools. Forget what the press are writing in that Celtic are "Demanding" an explanation, they have simply asked what the two officials said to each other at the time. Apparently we are to believe that nothing was said...up until Friday when we were told that the official behind the touchline said he thought the ball hit Meekings head and not his hand.

If that's the case why did the SFA not simply state that on Monday? The bigger question is if the SFA knew that (which they surely must have) then why did they cite Meekings in the first place? The only answer must be that the officials cobbled together a cover story at the last minute like they did in the DougieGate affair.

 

I agree ... they ****ed up big time.

Im just not sure if celtic would achieve anything by pursuing it any further.

And they defo have made tge story up...the realised they ****ed soon after the incident as celtic got a few decisions they shouldnt have second half.

 

Agreed, I don't think the Officials were at it, I just think they were shockingly bad. I believe they saw the hand ball, they must have done (at least one of them) but they bottled it, we don't need officials like that and we need people who cover up their mistakes even less.

 

We could have still have lost the game even if we got the penalty.
