ueens Park Rangers are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales on loan.

The 20-year-old has recently been linked with both Everton and Liverpool, with the Spanish giants prepared to let the youngster leave Los Blancos on loan next season.

Canales is not in Jose Mourinho's plans for next season and the 'Special One' is understood to have encouraged him to find a club to gain some experience of playing first team football in a competitive league.

Aston Villa and La Liga side Villarreal have also shown interest in the Spain Under-20 international, but according to The People, newly-promoted QPR are keen on luring the player to London.

The Loftus Road club are said to have already spoken to Real Madrid officials in a bid to push through what would be seen as a big signing for the Hoops.

Canales recently revealed he had options to move to England during the January transfer window but said: "I want to repay Mourinho and the club's trust in me.

"I don't regret moving to Real Madrid and I knew that this first year would be tough.

"It's not great when I'm not in the squad but I want to show what I can do on the pitch."

Although he is believed to still be in Real's long-term plans, he may well have to wait to get an opportunity at the Bernabeu.
