If Carroll went for £35M (ridiculous money) and Hendo for £20M (not quite as ridiculous, but still pretty daft) what is Asa worth?

Modric has a £25M tag (in the ballpark) and Tevez £50M (heading back to silly, but then again...) so I'd put Asa's starting price at £20M.

I've seen a rumour that saggy chops is offering Defoe and £5M for him, but for me it's Defoe, Hutton and £5M or piss off. Well, it's piss off anyway, but at least that deal might have legs.

He's worth a lot more than Red crap is offering.

God if ever there was a reason for hating spuds this man is it.

last time thed Spuds were on TV my grandson thought it was a St Bernard on the touch line.

I really do hope they get F***ed off over the Olympic Stadium.

Ih he has a good second season with us, his value will be at least £25m+.

Hope he stays with us for his career - he could deffo be a total legend in the mold of Quinny, SKP, Rowell, Marco, Gatesy, Gary Bennett, Kevin Ball, Monty etc

Infact we could be the next Mayor and Chairman of SAFC he is so charismatic.

I would rate him aroung the £25m+. Alright he isn't as prolific as Bent but is a different player(better) and globaly would be better known/thought of.

Gyan is worth more at the moment because we don't have a replacement or anyone to fill his shoes. Also even if you had 100m to spend it would be difficult to get a replacement due to our location, history and lack of European football.

To The club Gyan is almost priceless. I think the only way Bruce would sell him is if he had a replacement.

In which case for me 30m +

We don't necessarily need Defoe, he would be a superb signing but not at the expense of Gyan.

30m for me if a club wants him thats what they got to pay, I could easily see Gyan playing and succeeding in a champions league side

    The worlds gone mad...

He is worth a lot to SAFC at the moment, cos we have no-one else.

But in the football market, maybe £18-20m, so a profit of £5-7m in a year is good going.

To us here he is priceless and the one player who we should hang on to irrespective of the offer. We don't need the money whereas Spurs seem to be struggling a bit at the moment

Redcrapp's offer is insulting if true and he has about as much chance of signing him as the spuds have of playing at the olympic stadium, Redcrapp has more chance of winning the St Bernard section at crufts than Signing Gyan
