I'm a bit surprised at the level of the club's in for these two. I think Bego could do a job for a Champions league team, N'Zonzi I think is good enough for Europa league.

Is their skill overestimated by us and their agents, or are Villa (leading the race for Begovic) and Leicester (N'Zonzi) about the right level for them. I really hope they dunna sign for a club below or on a par with us.

Re Bego...the top six in the PL all, with the exception of Liverpool have world class keepers...£100k per week to play for Chelsea for Chelsea reserves? Hmmm

If he wants to go and play then it would make sense to go to some European club.
But when has sense ever come into it.

    N'zonzo...harder to replace...Same as Huth!!!

Bego is linked with Aston Villa and they have put a bid in for him, If he goes to Villa who are promising to give him better wages then all this bollocks about wanting to better himself was lies, and like 99% of footballers its all about the money. If he goes to Villa he will be in for a whole lot of hate from Stoke fans and rightly so.

Ricc, I totally agree. I know Villa have achieved more in their history than us but they do not represent a step up for him. All about the money.

N'Zonzi would be hard to replace but I think he expected bigger clubs coming in for him than have.

're Huth, I wonder if he wanted to leave as he was probably told he would not play every week and would not be fist choice. He is not the type to be a bench warmer.

I agree, the thing is us as fans have a right to know whats going on, even if he has fallen out with Hughes I would much prefer honesty rather than this pantomime which is making our club look amateur................wait have I just asked for honesty in football?, slap on the wrist for me.

Just on the subject of Steven N'Zonzi, it appears that Seville have had an offer of £7m accepted and now it's down to the player agreeing & accepting term with them - all rather sad in my humble opinion. IF he goes, and I hope that he doesn't, it will be a big blow for us because he's very much the kingpin of the team and certainly helps make them tick!
I just wonder what MH will do - there's talk of the possibility a young midfield player Roberto from Barcelona but who knows. One player that springs to mind is Leroy Fer of QPR - he's certainly got the skill and pace but whether he would fit or be availabe are two of numerous questions.

Whatever the outcome is, good luck to you Steven, you certainly gave us loads of pleasure with your class, languid but deceptive style & great skill set - I hope that you find success at club level plus international caps for France because you deserve them!

    In Hughes you lot trust.

Not me, never have, never will. Nor the new Coatess regime.

    Just to confirm the above.

So, as we told you a few minutes ago Steven Nzonzi is in talks with Sevilla after Stoke accepted a bid of £7m for the midfielder, according to Sky sources.

The Frenchman, who has 12 months to run on his current contract, now appears likely to leave for Spain.

He will be missed and we will struggle to replace him, but in all honesty he never seemed 100% committed and would rather take the cash now and part on good terms. He wanted to leave under Pulis and although he has seemed more settled under Hughes I never believed he would re-sign. Seven million is very good money for a player with only 1 year on his contract. I'd we could extract 10 million for Begovic it gives a reasonable war chest to reinvest.

In 6 months they will be worth zero and I would hope to get 10 million for Begovic. I'm pretty sure Cabaye is only 1 year into a 4 year (or 2 into a 5 - I cant remember?) deal which makes a big difference in any negotiations. As said before I actually think Nzonzi is worth a lot more to us because to replace him will be practically impossible - but if he's not committed to the club then that's the way it is.

Nzonzi hands in a transfer request every window, other than last season he has been average. Hes a mardarse and getting 7 million is decent business for us. You cant keep having someone handing transfer requests all the time as it makes the whole club looks ****. Good player but im glad hes gone. Hughes will find us a replacement and if we get Roberto that will be an outstanding achievement.

A kick in the teeth for Stoke from N'Zonzi in my opinion. Every year he has wanted to leave and now he has finally got his wish. Sad to see him leave in many ways from the team and progress perspective but you cannot keep an unhappy player. With Bego also leaving us I just hope we can bring new faces in so as not to weaken the squad.
