    Crackerjack signing. Good pedigree of course and has looked good on what I've seen. Just got to push on now and get two or three more. Obviously it looks like Mbemba will be coming in. If we can get a quality centre back 24 plus, a quality striker 2 plus, and perhaps another midfield option.

    Looking at the fees we are paying, it looks like the club has decided now is the time to step up the quality of our signings. Two or three more likes Gini, MItrovic, Mbemba, we should be safely clear of any relegation battle.

    It'll be fine as he is a full international. Yes he probably hasn't played required games etc but it should not be a problem for him or Mbemba.

    This is going to go down like a fart in a lift but, do you not think it's a little harsh that Sir Alan wasn't gettings signings of this (hopefully) calibre?
    I still think McLaren will be a better coach and tactician but Pards may of done better with financial support and not constantly losing his best players.

    Anyway great signing (again hopefully) and with a couple more I think we can at least have a go at a top half finish

    Certainly but I suppose the club would say that we were not in a position to give him these signings. Perhaps they saw Pardew's style as someone who get them through that sticky patch unscathed with PL status intact. Object achieved, they part on good terms, and we move on as does he?

    Or, maybe they didn't trust Pardew with these kind of signings? I suspect it's what you said, you get the impression that they just didn't trust him to get the best out of people.

    Quality! Very happy with this. No time for 'the board' to hang around hi five'ing each other tho. crack on to the next target. We definitely need a few more. Personally I think Mbemba should be the next priority (if it's not already agreed)

    I'll reserve being impressed for when I've actually seen Mitrovic play. Too many false dawns getting excited over signing foreigners I've barely heard of I'm afraid. We are also still short of at least 4 players IMHO.
