I think we are all on edge before the season starts. The most important signing was Dick and Conger is doing a good job. But we all know we need more goals in the team. I think Januzaj would be great, pacy with an eye for goal and something to prove. I would prefer us to sign our own players but it is not always that easy. Are we the prem record holders for failed Medicals?

Grow up? I'm encouraging balance, how irresponsible and immature of me.

So you don't see Lens as a good signing? You think we got the best manager available in order to stabilise us for the next?

Re read, it was a comparison not an accusation. That is crystal clear in the wording. I know you're a Sunderland fan. We've had mag wums pretending to be negative Sunderland fans in the past, especially on the BBC606 board. Their posting themes mirrored your op in style. It's a comparison I'll stick to thanks. <ok>

My legs are up fella, whilst watching the British bake off with a cup of Assam. I'm optimistic, I vented early on, been out for a bit of urban foraging(I've got wild British raspberries), and back to looking forward to the start of the season. Happy days! Football is nearly back! Sorry I'm not as angry with you as you hoped, but people often confuse straight talking with anger in the written world. More amused by the pretentious hypocrisy than anything. <ok>:)

3 weeks mate not 3 days!! Nobody is ready barring maybe Chelsea. Don't panic! Would u rather we'd signed Fer even though he's injured?!

Transfer window open 3 more weeks. We can do fairly well in opening games without Fer (who's injured anyway so wouldn't have played in 3 weeks!)

    As I hoped?
Dear God, you do have a high opinion of yourself don't you?
All I did was voice my "opinion" on your little rant.
If I wanted to anger you, I would have accused you of being a Mag or offered to take you out back with a shotgun and put you out of your misery. (But that would just be childish.)

Wow you live on your own little planet of self love. Lens had a good game against Doncaster and scored against 96. I am hopeful but I'll wait to see how he does, too many have come and been built up to be average at best.

I haven't mentioned my feelings for myself. But thanks for letting me know<ok> So what that about getting Dick back and the remaining time of the transfer window to finish strengthening? Every team is still looking to strengthen if possible so we've hardly handicapped ourselves by not rush buying.

Pessimists often excuse their pessimism by calling it realism.
Optimists often use the "gut feeling" excuse.

Neither can affect the outcome they're predicting, thats the club/manager/players etc

So may as well be an optimist, then you spend the time up to said outcome, happy!

    :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    This works for me.

Until about 10 mins into the season, normally.
