Apparently Wes Brown wont be playing on Sunday as he has "a little niggle". Its like John Mensah never left.

Nah, they couldn't afford the fee. Fat mike's spent it all in Greggs and anyway when they found out he wasn't a french poncy nancyboy they lost interest.

Friendly. Better not too play him now than to play him now and for him not to start the season fit..

It may well be a friendly but its not good reading really is it? I mean you have a player who has a terrible injury record (this was a major concern for everyone when we signed him as his ability was never in doubt) and before he has even played a match never mind a competitive one, he is already picking up niggles. Ive got a feeling it maybe a long 4 years, especially with how **** our medical staff is.

To say I'm deeply shocked by this news would be a blatant lie.

Maybe we've learned from last seasons injury problems that sometimes its better not to play guys with slight niggles.

Just read Bruce and Brown and Westwood rested with small, NORMAL, niggles. Why dont we give the lad a chance instead of being ready to jump on his back with I told you so stories.

Fopr Christ's sake man, every player comes back to pre-season with a few aches and strains, that why you have a pre-season.

Brown went through a rigorous medical 1 week ago and passed with flying colours. Whats the point in playing a lad with a strain in a ****e friendly game?

We may as well just boo the lad as well when he does play and dot the i's and cross the t's on this one eh?

    Haway lads.

Please dont concern yourselves with things you cant afford.

Stay focused on haggling over the pennies for those Championship standard defenders you cant attract and leave the NE top club to build its squad for a 4th successive top NE club finish.

you have to think as well he hasnt got much game time in the last year or so, but thats not through injury, its just Smalling and Evans came through for them, so he will be working extra hard to get up to speed, and these things happen if you are pushing it just a little too much.

not worried in the slightest, I am more worried about Campbell than Wes Brown on the injury front, whats he going to be like when/if he comes back.

I really do despair at the negativity of some of our fans. If you've nout positive to say, STFU.
