He's not a player who I had marked down as a great prospect, but he seems to have a good attitude, and works hard at his game, so maybe he'll prove me wrong, he certainly wouldn't be the first.

 

0 - 2.. Seems like Luzon got it right again tonight, playing a lot of youngsters too fills me with optimism.

78 mins. Muldoon on for Bergdich who looks knackered. Bergdich does seem to have stamina problems. Muldoon's first team debut.

80 mins. Great save by Pope.

 

Seven Academy products have taken the field tonight, plus Pope.

Luzon must be in dreamland. Everything has gone right for him. Plusses in all areas.

90 mins, 1-4. Pope will be unhappy to miss a clean sheet but not his fault.

Another very good night for us. Some might say only Peterborough but we've lost to far worse teams many times in recent years. What's not to like about tonight?

 

Happy day, big boosts to the youngsters, but also for Igor, should be a real confidence shot for him.

 

Would like to hear how sarr did, despite the scoring it sounded very much end to end for the majority of the match.

 

Peterborough had more possession, more shots and many more corners, so by no means a walkover. But we had the better chances, including a few we missed.

From the above it will be obvious that we had a lot of defending to do, but the commentators hardly mentioned Sarr. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Maybe they missed him because he is so tiny.

1. A banana skin and extra-time avoided.

2. Most first team regulars rested. Only Pope, Bauer and Ba played 90 minutes. Pope needs the experience and Ba needed the minutes.

3. No injuries as far as I know. At least, no-one went off injured.

4. I would have been happy if Vetokele had just pottered about for 30 mins and come through safely. But he only goes and scores a bleedin' goal, dinne?

5. Two youngsters made their debuts. Kennedy scores within 3 mins and goes on to play a blinder. Muldoon comes on and puts in a great cross to give Igor an easy goal. The commentators were enthusiastic about Charles-Cook and Ahearne-Grant as well. Lennon was hardly mentioned.

6. Kashi comes on for a great cameo and scores a worldy. I look forward to seeing that on the highlights.

 

I was wondering where the goals were coming from.

 

No great travel expenses then. (Unless one lives in the Dominican Republic). Mixed feelings about this one.

 

It'll be nice to dump them out of a cup

 

Nothing to lose in next round, reckon Luzon will be up for it.
