That is the real worry, the longer it goes with Charlie still being an R, the less time we have to replace him if he does go. Or will the policy be to not replace him and go with what we've got?

Agree, if anyone is serious about taking Charlie, they'll pay. If they're desperate, they'll pay. Win-win for us and puts more in the coffers for a replacement.
The only unknown for me in this is are we desperate for the £15m or will the board be happy for Charlie to stay
