That my friend would be the type of signing that would get me excited. If that's the possible replacement for Charlie then it's a good one and a gamble I'd be willing to take.
Let's hope that (1) both Matt and Charlie both stay, and (2) if they don't then there are replacements available. Maybe see if palace are ready to ley Gayle go out on loan as that could be good for us IF we get any injuries
David McIntyre @davidmcintyre76 2m2 minutes ago Apologies those asking if Angella's a loan or perm haven't got a clear answer. Because it hasn't been clear! Will be loan with view to perm.
Great news everyone ........... TF has just anounced that 'Aussieqpr' has just re-signed for another life term.......... Tony Fernandes says, " Great news fans, 'Aussieqpr' has just re-signed for another life term. This shows the continual commitment from Aussie that we all value. Manager Ramsey added ........... "Aussie, having come through our juniors system, proves that once you are a QPR fan, you are for life, in this case, a second term" Hope to have more committed players like Aussie come thru before the deadline. Austin and Phillips expected to stay at QPR By David McIntyre 01/09/2015 please log in to view this image QPR have received no fresh approaches for Charlie Austin or Matty Phillips and now firmly believe both will be staying at Loftus Road. Austin has been linked with several clubs this summer, with the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham tipped to sign him. Only Leicester, who had an offer rejected, and Crystal Palace, who were put off by the £15m asking price, made an approach. Rangers have lined up a number of potential replacements for Austin, including Brugges’ Obbi Oulare, 19, in the event of a last-minute offer for their striker. But no approach has been received for Austin and there has so far been no new offer for Phillips from West Brom, who had a bid for him rejected in July. Click here for the latest QPR transfer speculation As the transfer deadline is at 6pm and any move would be expected to include a medical, QPR are now convinced neither player will leave. They would like to offload other players in order to reduce their wage bill but could not agree loan deals for Sandro or Leroy Fer following discussions with AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven respectively. And as of Tuesday morning there were no takers for Junior Hoilett or Armand Traore, who have been made available on free transfers. Rangers do expect to add to their squad with the signing of Watford centre-back Gabriele Angella. The 26-year-old Italian is undergoing a medical and is set to move on loan with a view to a permanent deal. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/...placement-lined-up-but-qpr-expect-duo-to-stay
I wonder why that Angellas deal takes so long? I bet it dont have nothing to do with Charlie or Phillips??
If we keep Austin, Philips, Fer & bring in Angella I'd say overall we've done pretty well & have a decent enough squad for the season.
Couple of interesting tweets from Dave Mac. David McIntyre @davidmcintyre76 30m30 minutes ago David McIntyre retweeted justin hintz Different. Ben, this goes with my theory of the new found thriftiness being more about FFP - and avoiding fines (both this year's and two years ago).
