Charlie, Polter and Mackie all crocked leaves us toothless upfront. Please God we don't sign Leon Best but Ramsey needs to get someone in on loan sharpish. Don't be surprised to see a Spurs youngster heading our way...
The danger of putting youngsters into this team is it will set them back before they've had a chance to shine. Have him in as sub and give him 20-30 minutes when appropriate, but I think it's a big ask to have him start in this division...
Very disheartening for the lad if he is the only striker still standing and he still doesn't get a game. What's the story with JET?
I don't think he's an out and out striker, Phillips is playing in his position so he is surplus so far...
Just consider when Leicester came up two years ago they had four strikers who were all scoring when they played...
Depends how Ramsey deals with problem, he's given Phillips enough time, maybe now he'll make some changes. I have a feeling we'll see some changes after this shambles but you wonder where the goals will come from as there are plenty going in at the other end...
I'd definitely be giving Reece G-C a run out - he shows energy and a real desire to be in the pitch - two qualities that sadly most of our team failed to demonstrate last night We don't have a whole load of options up top, but at least let's stop leaking so many goals - conceding an average of 2 a game is truly shocking
-----------------------------------Smithies--------------------------------- Onuoha-----------------Hall----------------Hill--------------Konchesky ----------------------------Doughty--------Faurlin------------------------ Mackie-----------------------------Fer----------------------------Luongo ---------------------------------Grego-Cox--------------------------------- Sandro for Doughty when the former is fit. Luongo has a good work ethic and will work back to help defend, as will Mackie. I suppose Phillips will have to stay if Mackie is injured. Something has to be changed! Let's get players in who will at least give their all.
In this division we seem to come up against a lot of teams who employ the "big guy upfront to bully the centre backs" tactic, and sadly this seems to have been a very effective tactic against us I'd definitely start Hall rather than Angel Girl
Onuoha has never cut it at right back, always tending to drift into the middle. Any team with a pacey left winger will roast him...
He very rarely gets done by pace. He is a far, far better defender than Perch and both are poor on the ball, so I'd take Ned there every time.
Just seen that Tyler Blackwood has scored for Newport 1-0 up at Carlisle, it's their first away goal of the season and they've yet to win at all...
