Match Day Thread Everton V Liverpool

Match summary: better than I feared, worse than I hoped. Negatives - Moreno, Ford and Lucas/Milner mobility (and Can and Clyne playing in the wrong positions), Positives... er, Ings, Sakho, Skrtel, Migs saves (though not his lack of going for high balls and crosses). Would have gladly swapped this result and performance for the one against United, as I regard Everton as easily their equal.

Apparently there was a game on today ...

Just watching Sakho's performance - dealt with Lukaku brilliantly.

 

For all the media jizz over flavour of the month Lukaku, all he did was tap in a ball that luckily dropped to him 2 yards out

Completely ineffective otherwise

On the other hand #bitters should be pleased he finally picked up his first yellow card for them and hopefully will do a lot less hiding in games from now on

Hilarious watching that then seeing people claim he can't pass and isn't composed

3 times he brought a high ball down on his chest with a player near him, then made a positive pass.... Dinked balls forward to players, cross field passing, won everything in the air...

Think he made one mistake at about 56 minutes where his first touch ran away from him, other than that, very good performance which sums him up well and shows what we all see in most games, yet rivals still try and claim otherwise because it's easier to say it and agree with lazy commentators.
