thanks to Spurf for bumping .. my relegaion candidates and 'surprise' team predictions going quite well ... shame on all those of you who had Leicester City down for relegation
In my predcition (post #20) I had Watford down for a surprise 10th place. Never thought they would be 3 points behind us at this stage.
Most of those predictions were made a few days before Ranieri were hired, no doubt under the impression you'd be hiring someone of the merry-go-round of "experienced" manager who have an appalling track record for keeping teams in the Premier League like Neil Warnock or Paul Jewell.
I reckon Leicester will be top on Boxing Day. It would have been a more impressive prediction if it had been made before Boxing Day, but good predictions, like most other worthwhile things, take time.
7th?! You're a bloody pessimist, mate Yeah, I had Leicester down to finish 11th in the other prediction thread that was done at the end of the transfer window. This thread was just bad timing, you had players and managers getting sacked left, right and centre with no Ranieri appointed and Cambiasso had confirmed he was leaving. It looked bleak, to be honest. UIR has had a 'mare in this thread though.
Incredible to think that this may yet happen! It's highly unlikely but still...ridiculous that there's a chance.
"Incredible to think that this may yet happen! It's highly unlikely but still...ridiculous that there's a chance." We can only hope that "quantum entanglement" has occurred between Chelsky and Man Utd. So that if one of them gets relegated, the other of the pair will feel the effects too.
Thought this was worth bumping now. Naturally we feel disappointed to not be out of the title racebut its worth remembering how much better our season is than many of us predicted. Love how many of us thought Leicester were doomed Coys
On course for three of the top four. ****ed in all the cups. Aguero can still pip Kane, though I hope not. Well off with Nabs getting YPOTY! Norwich and Newcastle could be relegated. Bournemouth were somewhat a surprise side, didn't get relegated and grabbed wins against Utd and Chelsea but it's safe to say Leicester were a tad more surprising Boro to be promoted with a win against Brighton while Derby will be in the play offs. Not too bad overall barring the cups.
I hope you had some money on the forecast... must have been incrediblte odds... 5,000/1 multiplied by Spurs pre-season odds
