I thought overall they did bloody well, especially in the first half, but I didn't see much in the way of guidance from your senior players like Benteke, Enrique or Bogdan.

Nope our own fans, rivals and #bitters are underrating him

Yesterday was the biggest banana skin you could imagine and Klopp jumped it like a boss

Is this not just giving loads of random excuses for a poor result? Fair enough it was a very young side playing but what does having 900 fans at the game have to do with anything? And the ref gave them everything? I thought he bottled giving them at least one penalty, possibly two, could have been a nightmare result!

I think the bit of your post that really stands out is this bit though: "But that doesn't mean the fans shouldn't recognise it was a massive achievement" - it's a massive achievement for Liverpool to scrape a draw against fourth tier opposition in the third round of the FA Cup?

    Serious spin job there buddy!

Nope it was a massive achievement to drag together a team with 45 minutes notice and go to a difficult away ground and come from behind after two lucky goals

I'm really not understanding why you consider a game against Exeter as such a challenging fixture...

The pitch was a bit **** but I'd hardly call going to Exeter a difficult away ground... And even if the team is out together just before the game, they are Liverpool players, they are supposed to be making careers for themselves, you'd expect them to be good enough against opposition so many leagues below surely?

How's life in your alternate reality where Arsenal fans never whinge about injuries?

Completely ignoring the points raised for a random dig suggests you have no viable response <ok>

Nope, you ignored my points to make out the problem was Exeter themselves

I have numerous posts saying they are nobodies but everything else in the game was set up to be as challenging as possible

Which points did I ignore? I simply quoted your post which was filled with a list of excuses that seemed irrelevant. I mainly quoted it for the fact you called getting a draw against Exeter a great achievement for Liverpool which had me in stitches.

It was a hard working performance from a young team littered with experience (not that they helped much), but it wasn't good enough and your lot should have won the game to avoid a replay. Exeter really weren't that good they just got confident when Liverpool didn't take hold of the game.

Extra game makes no difference other than under 21s (and Benteke) get an extra game. None of the first team players will play again so doesn't really matter.

Klopp and the club still have to logistically deal with the extra fixture though and it means less preparation time for other games. It might not effect the players in terms of playing all the fixtures, as there will be rotation, but it will still have an impact overall.

Itll have an effect by giving the under 21s another competitive game, plus a game at anfield in front of 45k people. Not bad experience for them to show what they can do and help their development. <ok>

You can't say it'll have no impact at this point. What if Klopp breaks some more of your first team between now and the 20th and he has to rely on some of the players who appeared last night?

Yeh it'll be good for the youth guys who get another game to help find there feet at the club.

I had meant though that the game will still have an effect in terms of fixture congestion as Klopp and the club still have to prepare for the game, attend the game, deal with the press pre and post match etc... It takes time out that would otherwise be used preparing for your next league game instead.
