Hi Stokies, This is going to be my last post on here (don't all cheer!!) I do realise that I am an old dinosaur and I really do not want to keep on reminiscing about 'the good old day' In all reality - these ARE the good old days!! I know that I have thrown my toys out of the pram on too many occasions, and very likely offended too many Stokies. All I can say is SORRY, unreservably. I think that with Potts being silenced an NOT giving me a hard time for being an idiot - which he often did by PM! Anyway guys, I really don't want to post on here and be negative toward Pulis and upset the applecart anymore! To all of you over the years who I have agreed with, who I have disagreed with, nothing personal. The bottom line is STOKE CITY
Nick, I think you should carry on contributing! Life would be very boring if we all agreed with each other. One of the things I liked about 606 and now not 606 over the oatcake fanzine is generally folks don't slag each other off just for the sake of it. Decent debates with differing points of view. Don't give up Nick, besides, I like your wild poetry. Adds a bit of class to the site that ;-) KTF and UTP!!!
Nick, i know we are all upset about Potts, he was a top guy, but so are you. Remember we are all Stoke Fans, & without the passion( & arguments) that every poster on here brings to their Favourite club, then a little piece of Stoke City dies as well. Life moves on nick, & we will all remember Potts in our own special way, but Stoke City will live on longer than any poster on here. From the words of Pottermouth KTF
Keep the posts and comments going Nick its all about debate and your a master at that.Your posts always get the debate going and we will never forget the glory days.Even keep the poetry going well in small doses. Nice to see you back on the Board Oatcakes its amazing that next week we are playing in Europe looking forward to this yet another milestone for the club it just gets better.Don't really know enough about Hadjuk Split but feel we neeed at least a two goal lead and most importantly that we don't concede.
I think you should continue to contribute but understand if your motivation has been curbed by recent events - All the Best!
Nick, Please do not sign off. You have your opinions, we all do. Mine are strong too on occasions. I have been shot down by others before now. Do I care? No I try now to explain my point of view more fully. I know TP is not your favourite manager, he is not mine but I will try and look at the positives more and understand him more If you can try to likewise that would be good. It ensures GOOD debate. I am sure Potts would not want you to pack up!! Please don't do it. We need those who have some time to research what is going on at Stoke and it is invaluable for us that are either not so ardent about their team or do not have the time. Please reconsider. Cris
Don't go Nick, we don't want to lose another poster. We've had a couple of disagreements on here, but you've never casued me offence, cause at the end of the day I know we both want the same thing, for Stoke City to succeed, we just see it in different ways. And if you go, who's gonna keep me and The Welsh Mourihno in check?
Cheers for that Conroy, wifey goes to all the games with me (well most of them) but does give me grief if I blog all day and night. I am in a darkened cupboard now as I type this - joking ;-) Yeah really looking forward to next week and just being part of it all again. Hope the lads are fully fit and up for it! Apparently Hadjuk Split are a decent side (no 2 in Croatia?) so could be a stormer of a game. Really shocked as we all were about Potts, but this has convinced me that we need to keep the debate going, I know he would want us to carry on with it. As you say Nick, these are 'the good old days', who knows what adventures the lads are going to take us on this season! UTP!!!
Nick, First you have never upset me in any way, you have a right to any opinion you want to hold and so has everybody else. Tho I don't agree with everything you say I do appreciate that you have said it and often how you have said it. I don't contribute as much as I should and I think if people like yourself stop then the boards will be a poorer place for all. As far as the old days goes, I first went to see Stoke in the late sixties early seventies and left Stoke in the late seventies to join the forces so i'm a bit of a ford codgworth myself, these days are not the good old days, but they will be the good old days for this generation. Be part of it mate you never know if Yoda Pulis gets something sorted out with the midfield we may start playing football and you wouldn't wan't to miss that. Have a think about it, you can see from the posts above that everyone wants you to carry on but it's your decision mate, bestwishes regardless. Jowler
I won't pretend i'm happy, as the board is certainly more entertaining with Nicky on here, even if I don't always agree with what he says, but if you want to leave then I more than understand.
Stay posting nick,we`re all gutted about Potts,and you obviously Knew him better than most,but don`t compound it by quitting on here.You obviously need a `man hug`.I for one enjoy your poems even if I don`t always(never!!)agree with the sentiments.Besides,think of my marriage,while I`m having a go at you I`m leaving the missus alone. I'd love it if you stayed on here Nick, I'd only have Smithers to argue with if you left! I'll miss our debates if this does prove to be the end of your long and distinguished career posting on both 606 sites.
