Riga has 3 wins in his last 26 games as a Championship manager.

I am afraid his managerial performance last night was worthy of Karel Fraeye.

His team is awful - we can't deny that, but his selections don't make a lot of sense now. They are the sign of a desperate man - and the fact the club aren't even linked to reinforcements show they have accepted the inevitable.

They should go after some League One players now - get the jump on other clubs in the summer, give them a bit of Championship experience. Rangers have been doing that - though they aren't allowed to join them till the summer, so we are at even more of a benefit.

Why did Riga wait until the 82nd min to bring Lookman on last night?

    Something smells.

Riga has now joined the list of Roland managers who start well (I refer to his first spell) then end up floundering in a sea of mediocrity. Still, look on the bight side- every manager has been better than the previous encumbent, think where we'd be if every one was worse! Roland doesn't know how to look for a good manager, partly because he knows nothing about football and partly because he's a social misfit, albeit a very wealthy one unfortunately for us. Riga will probably get a vote of confidence at the end of the season then sacked in the middle of the Euros with the Serb coming in.

Amongst the mass of hatred and vitriol being directed at the Belgians including Riga on Charlton social media, I did pick up on this comment which is interesting.

'When we are relegated to League One, Duchatelet should make a phone call to Mick McCarthy. Offer him a 4 year contract on £1m a year, and complete freedom to build his own team with his own staff. Only that way will Charlton ever recover'

It will never happen, but that is what is needed.

RD has wiped that much and more from the value of players since he has been here.

No! That is exactly the sort of short-term planning we should avoid. What we should be doing is signing the best young League Two players now to give us the best chance of promotion back to League One at the end of 2017-18 by when RD will hopefully have departed, because we are certs to get relegated again next season with him in charge.

My prediction for December 2016 is a statement from Meire along the following lines:

"We are delighted that Bob has agreed to join us as Head Coach on an Interim Basis. He loves the Club and was the right decision at the time. We have underestimated the strength of League One but have learned from our mistakes. Roger Johnson will therefore be re-joining us in January"

So you mean he won't be around for the league 2 campaign? Awesome.

His post-match drivel is now as bad as Carol's, I can't listen to it any more.

I hate to bring this up, but each of our managers have only won 2 league games this season, Fraeye could end up with the best ratio out the lot if I'm not mistaken

Agreed. Riga claimed that Sanogo didn't start because he has a bad back <laugh><laugh>

It didn't stop him warming up for a full half an hour.... before he came on to play 30 min.

I have just seen Riga's interview after the Derby defeat yesterday, and I can't see him here for much longer (good).

He looks a beaten man - mumbling about his squad size and being clear what "his responsibilities" are.

That is what happens when you are a Network Patsy Jose mate, you get lots of jobs... but lots of shaftings too.

We need a British manager in League One who knows the players and teams.

Jose has failed. Nice guy, but failed.

I feel such despair it is really horrible. No manager, network or not can even come close to doing a competent job under Duchatalet. I now think that there is little doubt we will go straight down to div 4 under this regime. Before I would have said that for effect but now I think it is the only outcome. Doomed. Doomed I tell ye.

F*** him, he knew the score when he came back.

    No sympathy.

Don't bring that to the Belgians attention, the 'bell ringer' could make a comeback.
