What a honest heartfelt interview with one of the best players to have ever graced the liberty! (PL era)

"I was really happy in Swansea, it was the best season of my life and my career. I miss the crowd, I miss the team-mates, I miss the city as well.

"I miss the Premier League and if I can play again at the highest level again, I will play for Swansea for sure.

"The fans were always with me, incredible. I have something inside I need to give back to them.

"I'm still having pain, but I want to play again for the Swans because they were outstanding, they were my life. It will be impossible to show back the love they showed me but I want to come back.

I was critical of Michu at the end but I was ignorant to the facts and now upon reflection I would love to see him back and take back all the negative comments I have made about him.

    Top guy!

I liked that. I was critical too but he's redeemed himself I think. Will he ever come back? Sadly I think he's finished, because if you are in constant pain and have already had numerous operations it's not good and I can't see any player coming back from that. Gracias, Michu. Nosotros tambiƩn te amamos. <smooch>

29 years old, in constant pain, and hasn't been near a Premier League match in two years. It's a long way back from there and personally, as much as I would love to see it, I can't see Michu pulling on a Swans shirt again.

Oh he is exactly what we need right now and a fit Michu in our squad and we would be nowhere near where we are now in the league. Sadly I agree with all said there is no chance of a return. I wonder how much Monk had to do with his downfall and now he has gone Michu has come out with this, There was much said about a Spanish Clique, I wonder if there was another one in our club who had a little to much power.

To be fair to Monk, he was crocked months before he took over.

To be fair , Monk was ruining things long before he took over imo

I know. I always cringed when he did that saying for some bone to be broken. Turns out it just knackers ankles.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't post that remark - I completely agree though. Wonder what Monk will say about this in his biography?

I just read this before coming here and I thought "how bizarre"! I was under the impression he wasn't at all happy with the club when he went to Napoli. I don't remember him thanking the fans like Chico did, for instance.

He seems like a complex character, with the odd demon and he was and always will have been a fantastic player for us at a special time but I can't see him coming back.

I was one of a few that tried to tell you all the real truth about Michu. There was never any rift or upsetting the dressing room like most were adamant he was doing, Michu was suffering from depression because he knew full well that the injury he had was career changing, the club gave every assistance possible even arranging a loan spell to napoli. sadly it never worked out as he was breaking down all the time, We kept on helping him and even used and paid for the best of the best medical help. It's just one of those things that happens to players sometimes. Good luck to him ....

Daned if you do and Daned if you don't eh Mikraswan.Players like Michu , Chico, and Poz were showing loyality toward Laudrup and payed for it , loyality Monk would never realize during his stint .We all speculate at what goes on , the players know .The players, in general ,problems was with the club at the time not with the fans .This is all Michu is addressing here imo .

I don't know how I missed this thread, but I also only just read this article on the BBC, maybe it's old age, but I cannot believe this from Michu given his seemingly frosty exit to Napoli, but has anyone got a link to the video? I wonder if Monk not being here had anything to do with Michu's recent frank and honest account of his situation and us?

    Love this bit too:

"When you love something so much, like I love football and I love Wales and I love Swansea, it's difficult to play for the crowd without my best level so I need to get back to this level. "The best way in life is to be honest with yourself. I won't play at the highest level at this time. "I had other offers in England. It's normal as I was at Napoli. But I wanted to be honest, I want to play at the highest level again, but only when I'm at my best level." - Michu

What I wouldn't give to have a fit Michu now, I hope he makes it back to his best level, though one hell of a long shot.............<ok>

Just found this article too, dated the 26th Feb:

    Link: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...motional-michu-interview-cannot-live-10954758

Go for it Michu, follow your dream son.....<ok>

Anyone find this whole situation increasingly odd?. Not least that there's an interview with him on the official site, But our club and Michu are going out of their way to re-establish contact. Why would the club want to put videos about him and interviews with him out, given the situation? All since Monk has left too, very strange........<whistle>

Heard nothing from Michu the whole time Monk was in charge, within weeks of him sacked Michu is breaking radio silence and talking about how he would love to return.

I think that says a lot about how Monk was regarded by some .
