Thought I'd better give this it's own thread, to save it getting lost in the others... Having taken on board the varied and wide-ranging feedback received from supporters regarding our proposed new Season Membership scheme over the past week, the Club will now take some time to review the initial details as we look to make some adjustments to further benefit our loyal supporters. Therefore we will delay the full unveiling of the Earn Your Stripes Membership scheme. In the meantime we thank you for your continued support. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...rship-scheme-3020808.aspx#UHRRXgFh8cAgzumS.99
So they announce they're going to review the scheme and you still criticise them? Last I checked no one is out of pocket due to the plans yet, and yet people still moan.
You'll have to wait and see what the new plans are, I think it's unlikely that your price will double now. Hopefully.
Considering they're doing a full review of the program, I have absolutely no idea. You have absolutely no idea either. No one has any ****ing idea what the prices of seats are going to be because they still haven't officially announced it all. I've said through the whole thing that people should save their moaning until the club actually releases details. People shouldn't be telling their kids that they won't be going to games next year and upsetting them before the club actually releases anything.
I am out of pocket for one, so stick your assumptions! They deserve all the criticism they get on this one as it represents yet again something which hadn't been researched properly before the scheme was announced. I reserve judgement until their 'review' is complete. They still haven't learnt at face value from previous interactions and experiences with fans. I genuinely hope they get this one right as I believe that ultimately it could and should work. For now, its one step backwards to potentially take two forwards.
How are you possibly out of pocket for a membership scheme that hasn't even been announced by the club yet?
I would hope they will call together representatives from each of those affected, ie upper west, South Stand, families and pensioners, listen to what they have to say and look at reaching some sort of agreed way forward. If they do that we may start healing some of the wounds that have been caused over the past few years.
Any idea how many passes they sold last season? and how much they made? a simple way would be to work out how many extra tickets they would have to sell at the cheaper rate to match what they made last season and market the hell out of the new value tickets.
We moan because the scheme is full of holes and they should've consulted the fans about a proposed new scheme so we all knew about it. It effects people who actually buy tickets for the games.
"make it cheaper and they will come" to misquote a famous film. They should be aiming to sell out passes with a cheaper rate to make the same or more profits.
Your point is valid. For the record I'm for one, not having a moan, simply stating the glaringly obvious facts.
They should start by renaming it. What other business tell you that you need to earn the right to spend your money on them? Plus it's an insult to people who have stood by the club for years. I feel I "earned my stripes" at Boothferry in the dark days and on overnight trips down to watch us (usually lose) in Exeter, Plymouth and Bournemouth.
