First 15 minutes Chery was nowhere to be seen. I didn't even realize he was in the line up until he tried to run onto a punt (yet again) upfield by the crap Henry skipping over the midfield (again). Seriously. Is JFH even Dutch? Does he have no concept of using the midfield? Is he going to consistently allow Henry to just become an American Football kicker and punt everything upfield? No concept of team work or understanding in the middle, and no idea how to actually defend and help each other at all, we sat back and let them have space for the entirely of the match, we got lucky to have got those 2 goals. Something has to change, and that's half the team and the manager. Yeah yeah I know we need stability blah blah, but, seriously lads, we're just mediocre. What sort of drivel JFH tells the players I don't know, but we're completely disconnected all over the pitch, there is no concept of a unit, no impetus to close them down around our area, I'm amazed we scraped by with only 3 goals, they could have scored 10 if they had a few better touches, we were dreadful. Just barely throwing bodies at the last second to hack it away, we barely survived. Our boys look knackered and lacking any pace. Punting down the sides is about the only thing we know how, except for Polter's fairly decent play that mostly leads to nothing as nobody knows how to follow up nor hold onto the ball.
Clearly didn't watch the same match as I saw . QPR were excellent 1st half good 10 yard passing on the deck . 2nd half we were poor for 20 minutes as we were poor from two set plays Henry looked fine to me Players looked fit and sharp IMO Boro very solid side QPR were generally very connected first half as far better than Boro And it was them that played longer passes Very good game I thought to watch So don't agree with Yappy at all To come back against Boro shows good signs IMO Cut to the chase Don't believe the type from Yappy
That was disappointing. I looked at this OP at lunchtime, noticed that there'd been 82 viewings, but not a single response, rather liked that and left it accordingly. May as well post now. These types of OPs are so clearly designed to be a wind up that not responding at all has to be the best possible retort, surely? You'd have to be either a WUM or something of an arse to write an article of this quality.
No winding up. You must have all been watching some other match. The space we gave them into our defense! Acres of space! And we let them have it. Didn't close them down, our left side exposed and then they were easily able to cross it all the way over to the other wing corner and we just let them collect it. How many times we let them just turn on the spot as we put no pressure on them? Adomah, Downing. Are they that quick? Not really, we just don't bother closing them down. Punt punt punt....... go rewind and watch it. How many times Henry just punts it over the top! What, that was tactic? And Ale and Hall can't stay on their feet, stumbling over their own legs. Please. What, you guys all get blinded because we scored twice? You must be joking. Polter did his best whenever he could get the ball somewhere up middle and held it up OK. That was about the only highlight. Mackie's shot was just pure luck, yeah why not take a pot shot? He might as well, and I thank him for taking it, as Phillips stumbled all over himself as well! What have they been doing during the International break? Trotting around at half speed, it looked like, to me. Very disappointing to see this at home after a couple of fairly decent results.
You are spot on about the good 10 yard passing 1st half. They were also many very quick passes, we were zipping the ball about really well, hadn't seen that from us for a long time.
