So what did I say was incorrect? This is the same person saying Lallana was on the half way line when he lost the ball for arsenals first goal yesterday. You need to get those peepers tested Diego, old age seems to be really setting in <whistle>

even if it was second yellow - we were leading 1-0 then.

Having said that - it is not second yellow - all the pundits agree with that.

Ref is not going to give that second yellow - especially when Costa got his first yellow for arguing a decision.

Was a genuine attempt. Seen yellows given for that though. If he hadn't been booked before he probably would have been for that.
Not a straight red in a month of Sundays!

Antonio made two mistakes when giving the penalty away. That's nothing to do with luck.

It was 1-1 and both pundits agree it was a straight red. What pundits are you watching? Lampard and Terry?

Surprised you see it that way. I don't get the "genuine attempt" argument when he catches the goalkeeper above the ankle with the ball nowhere near. If that's two midfielders there's no question it's at least a yellow.

Genuine attempt or not, could easily have broken keepers leg, you can't tackle with your foot that high.. Even if the ball was there he would have gone over the top of it.

Of course the fact of whether its a genuine attempt is relevant.
If he didnt try to play the ball and just hacked the player down, thats illegal play.
If he attempted to get the ball and missed because the other player shifted the balls position and the tackler mistimes, then its a genuine tackle attempt that failed.
One is much worse than the other.

When it's that high and that late, I don't think it should matter to the referee.

but it wasn't crushing fast. It was relatively very slow from an awkward angle.

Fair enough. When Ibrahimovic or Aguero do that I look forward to such a lenient view on here.

Wasting your time, they think a split second between the ball being there then replace with a leg should be a hanging offence.
When they fear players they want them banned for walking on the grass <ok>

    NP.

Some of the wums - trying to make as if Costa's non 2nd yellow impacted the game!!

Had he been sent off - we could have locked down with 10 men and got away a cleansheet.
