Without Mane, there's zero pace and directness in the team. So much creativity and interlinking from Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino and Sturridge but against teams like Burnley, they just put bodies in tight rows and shut us down. This is where our fullbacks should be helping out to stretch their banks of 4 and attack from the flanks, but Milner isn't a LB and Clyne was pretty quiet. Henderson is just pretty average and will never grab a game and control it or make things happen and, so far, I'm not really sure on what Wijinaldum does...

Still a long season ahead and so much quality in the team, but again the same two areas need fixing like we've said all window; LB and CM.

Maybe the cracks were papered over by the Arsenal result (who are a team equally as unbalanced, great midfield but nothing at either end of the pitch), and this result may wake Klopp up to the fact that you need to shift some of the dead weight and invest in some real quality, particularly in midfield. Henderson is no Gerrard thats for damn sure.

As i said if i were a new lfc manager as of today my first team would be:

    X
    Clyne - X - X - X
    X - X
    Mane - X - X
    Origi
    Thats about it.

Maybe can and karius can claim two spots... maybe matip can too.

If i were an lfc manager right now i'd be saying i want a CB, CM, ACM, LW.

Basically i'd be jose mourinho on the day he was signed by utd.

Id want a team spine i could rely on.

Sign Joe Hart, thats the keeper position covered.
Jose Fonte too, the Saint fans would love you for that :D Maybe having Fonte there will make Lovren find his Southampton form, they are a proven partnership.
As for midfield, not sure who else is available and realistic right now

Gray's goal <doh> a football league player made to look like Messi.

We won the possession match. We won't win anything with this team.

Exactly, even if you just got Hart on loan for the season.
You may not even have to pay all of his wages.

Not every day that England's first choice keeper becomes available, without a transfer fee.
    You need a decent keeper.

Take Mane and Moreno out, and we had zero width or an outlet.

And replacing Moreno will not fix the gaping holes we have in midfield.

They should be docked three points and have those three points given to their most recent opposition for that.

Not saying we don't need to upgrade him but central midfield is a massive issue for us .

Mane or Moreno would have made no difference today, width was not you problem. You had very little game intelligence when it came to drawing Burnly out and creating space, instead you all camped about 5 yards from their box and tried to pass/shoot through a well organised packed defence. If you had had a tall powerful striker you could have got some joy from the number of balls pumped into the box but you have no plan B.
