Who would you say is your favourite stand up comedian and what is the best DVD/show showing their work. Jim Jefferies, Denis Leary, Jimmy Carr and Dave Chapelle are my favourites. Chapelle's For What It's Worth DVD is by far my favourite.
I watched Sean Lock's Lockipedia last night and it was brilliant. Even my wife was pissing herself and she doesn't usually like stand-ups.
Rich Hall is class...and also married to my mates sister! Kevin Bridges is pretty funny of the new comedians...Sean Lock is class...Ben Elton used to be good, as did Lenny Henry but they turned into ****s once they believed their own hype
Overall - Eddie Izzard Legends - Hicks Pryor Connolly Cook Currently like Kevin Bridges, Lee Mack, Bill Bailey, Ricky Gervais
Have to say I bought a Sean Lock DVD and didn't find it funny at all. I think he's great on 8 out of 10 cats but thought his stand up was poor. Has he got a new one out?
Jim Jeffries the best about at the minute then Kevin Bridges. You need a funny accent to do proper stand up.
Dara O'Breeeen and Kevin Bridges Incidentally, Mr. Bridges was at the Hibs v Celtic game the other week, and got the train back in a state of some inebriation.
Not a big fan of stand up TBH. Seen a few just recycle the same jokes from Mock The Week, 8 out of 10 Cats etc too many times. In fact I've seen Jimmy Carr crack the same joke about coloured trousers 3 times in a week!!
