Although this and the Coventry thrashing is great they are both **** and I seem to remember being relegated from the U21 Premier league and pretty sure they lost to Middlesbrough and Brighton recently. Our u21 s aren't very good.
OCF is at the game, so look forward to reading his views. What I like is all the different scorers - just like we did in the '14-'15 season!!!
Got a bit concerned there when Posh scored still, normal service now resumed hat trick for Andreu 1-5
Just back from the game - what a delight to watch. Crisp, one-touch football, shoot on sight attitude, hard working team spirit and a solid defensive performance against a very physical Posh side. Man of the Match and by far the outstanding player on the park was Maddison - great touch, great vision, great movement - a star in the making. Also excellent were Godfrey (after a poor start)' Efete, Thompson and Killip who made some great saves, especially the penalty at the end. Ramsay had a good game and array Grant was solid but not spectacular in midfield Morris worked very hard but had a couple of heavy touches which spoiled a very good display. Josh played well and took his goals nicely and Andreu showed great maturity and panache - his experience was massive tonight and he deserved his hat-trick. The only disappointment for me was Harry Toffolo - got caught in possession too often and looked better going forward than he did defending (who'd have thought that ?). On tonight's showing I don't think he is ready to push Olsson for a starting berth. All in all a great night in front of about 200 City fans. OTBC !
Thanks very much OCF and I'll definitely get to the game V MK Don's. Interesting to hear that Tofollo had a poor game, but good that he's getting matches thanks to the EFL.
He looked good going forward Braveheart and played a part in both Andreu and Josh's second goals but got caught in possession a few times and was a bit rash in the tackle. On the other hand both Godfrey and Efete were immense and formed an impressive partnership which bodes well for the future.
I'd love to see Godfrey on the bench when we play the likes of Burton, as he seems to be such a versatile player! C'mon AN - what have you got to lose???
AN would have like what he saw tonight. Interestingly he was dressed in a white shirt and black trousers tonight rather than his usual trackie - I wonder if he has had a meeting with a potential player today ?
Posh manager blames his team's arrogance for poor performance! http://www.theposh.com/news/article...ich-city-checkatrade-trophy-efl-3281867.aspx?
Great result, Now all Neil needs to do is drop Naismith for; Maddison, Andreu, Pritchard, Howson or Hoolihan who will all do a better job behind Cameron or Nelson. Bah!
I'm still hopeful Naismith will come good but he needs benching to reflect on his performance. Maybe the way to gee up his play!
