With a paltry 9 points gained from our opening 7 league fixtures, we move on to table topping Scunny for tomorrow night's rearranged fixture. Hard luck for our decent away support this season, as I suspect many will be forced to miss this one due to work commitments. In my opinion we have only played well for half an hour so far this season - in the first half at home to a very weak Shrewsbury side. Most of the rest of the time we have been average, with Slade looking tactically limited and the majority of the new signings looking like what they are, lower league journeymen. Changes have surely got to be made at Scunny, because the current side and tactics are not working. I would go for this line up: Rudd Solly Fox Bauer Teixera Jackson Bokara Crofts Holmes Lookman Magennis Thoughts & predictions?
Think we will get an idea if Bauer and Tex play tomorrow by the minutes they consume this afternoon. We have to realistically look to start them both sooner or later. Midfield is still horrible. Something every fan knew by September 1st.
Tex won't play. Nowhere near match fit. I'd bring in Lennon and Bauer for Konsa and Pearce. For a ten minute period on Saturday, Pearce was all over the place- and nothing I've seen looks like he's way better than Lennon. I'd drop Ajose and play 5 in midfield- Lookman behind Magennis and two wingers in the form of Bokata and Holmes. Rather than flick on's, we need Josh to hold it up, the inevitable 50 long balls up to him, Lookman won't be running behind. Crofts and Ulvestad in midfield, latter i didn't think was too bad on Sat In all honesty though, I think it will be an unchanged team (again)
[QUOTE=" Midfield is still horrible. Something every fan knew by September 1st.[/QUOTE] Spot on. The lack of creativity is a killer. Though it didn't matter on Sat, as we continually bypassed it with the long balls!
The loan from Burnley - Ulvestad ? - I can't be bothered to spell his name correctly - was better than Crofts on Saturday What an indictment of the squad that many are calling for Jacko to be recalled tomorrow night
I'd play JJ with the Norwegian lad, he's well past his best but he has a goal in him and we need a leader in midfield.
I thought you had lost interest in Charlton and had lots of other exciting things in your life #LikeWanking
We'll go behind and be saved with 15 to go. Slade will praise the performance and say it was full of character, blah blah.. Blah.
