I have put together a chart of our results this season compared to the corresponding matches last season. As the season continues I will attempt to update..
I have linked the relegated teams with promoted teams

    This is very interesting.... <ok>

As someone on FB put it:

Estevan Nachos 33 points is all we need. Extra points will be a bonus lets see how far we can go this season. Our team looks better than last season. Other players are getting on the score sheet compaired to just relying on our dynamic duo. It's not just Iggy and Deeney this season so teams will be more fearful in their marking.

There will be a bit more pressure on the next few games now we've started well given the run of "easier" games..

But we should be full of confidence.

I still think the Pozzos want to see us in Europe next year with Mazzari length of contract with a champions league campaign in mind

Very happy with the manager so far and feel we could have a great season. The new additions all look good enough and I am confident that Walter will get the best out of this squad. Personally I did not enjoy last season and became totally frustrated with QSF after 3 games - Capoue and me are a lot happier now.

That is a massive (I hate that term, but it is appropriate) improvement on last season. +8 goals scored, -1 goal conceded and +6 points won! The pressure is on to keep it up. I think Champions League will remain just out of our reach (yeah, LCFC I know but that ain't happening a second time anytime soon, just look at the top 7) but the Europa League is a realistic aim. We'll see.... starting Monday night.

QSF sadly proved to be very limited tactically.... the difference this season is profound ( another way of not saying massive!!)......

The main thing is he's not playing people out of position, everyone seems happy and knows what they're meant to be doing.

QSF kept on trying to shoehorn his protégé Jurado into the side every week, his form being irrelevant, and the midfield often looked lost and unsure as to what to do when they received the ball. The result was lots of hopeful punts to the strikers.

Our new manager was a gamble, and so far it's paying off. We just need a sub for Peyrera in case he's injured/suspended and our squad is looking pretty solid!

Really looking forward to this season. Time to get enough points on the board before xmas to not have to worry too much for the run-in.

10th would be great, anything above that a bonus.

We've had an incredible start, but it was games like last night's that kept us up last season. Bravo, Mr Dyche. <applause>

Last year our results were pretty polarised - we got nothing out of the big boys but took near maximum points from those at or near the bottom. This year I suspect it will become a little more balanced.

The problem is last year we did not think we could beat most of the top ten .this year we think we can beat anyone because we have beaten a top 6 side

Saturday will probably be the first home game this season where people will expect us to be on the front foot and win...

Might bring added pressure - and Bournemouth have been a bit of a bogey side to us!

Really interesting this thread. Well done, NZ. <applause>

It does well to remind ourselves, sometimes. I remember the start last year as better than this. I was wrong.
