There is no disputing that, but Franco was a decent guy too, not that it did him much good, I don't think Bradley will put up with fools like Taylor, so from that perspective of player power, he's a plus, but technically will he be good enough? I still think it's a big gamble (Not as big as Giggs) and he will need to hit the ground running, he is going to be on a massive learning curve, that there is no doubt...........<ok>

I would have been happy with Giggs but it was not our call and when you look at their CV's in management then there is one clear winner.......Giggsy has only got his playing career better but after saying that then it dont count for much as there are a few managers around that only ever played lower league clubs and one of those was Jose Marino and he did well also Sir Alex playing days was not that impressive either.....Bradley started learning his trade at the young age of 22 and he did well in the US........I think the right choice has been made on their CV's input and only time will tell...

You do realise that there were other candidates interviewed? One of them had the best CV out of any manages that we've ever had.

This particular candidate returned a team to the top flight and going on to subsequently achieve three top-six finishes. Moreover, took this team to the semi final of the Europa league last season.

Oh well I'm not going to cry over spilt milk and leave it at that. Bob Bradley is our manager now and we must accept that. I wish the guy all the best and hope he proves all the doubters wrong and becomes a great manager for us.

Wrong. You must read Dai it's been widely reported by multiple sources.

Bradley beat ex-Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs, former Derby boss Paul Clement and the one-time Villarreal manager Marcelino

From what I've heard/read Marcelino and Clement were definitely in the frame. Marcelino's lack of English counted against him apparently, something which has worked against Guidolin. Clement was meant to have interviewed very well but the decision was to go with BB.

Following on from what has been said previously about Sutton, it really does defy belief the level of punditry lately, it seems to get worse every season. Sutton continuously said it was disgusting that we haven't given gigs or steve bruce the job. steve bruce??!!!
When it was mentioned that gigs did interview for the job but has been reported to have been 'underwhelming' Robbie savage chipped in with: "why are Swansea interviewing ryan gigs, why? everyone knows ryan gigs and what he stands for, why should he have to go through an interview"

They get hundreds of thousands of pounds for this, there really are no words!

If we didnt have american owners Clement would have got the job. As for experience Dai, YankeeBOB comes a very poor 4th. As for there being only 2 serious contenders they interviewed 4 coaches FACT!! So there were 4 serious contenders FACT!!

Bap, you are correct that they interviewed 4.

Of those interviewed, I would probably (like Phil) have gone for Marcelino. Clement wasn't a roaring success at Derby.

Hopefully, Bob will be a pleasant surprise <cheers>

He didnt do too bad at Derby 2nd at the end of December and were fifth and only 5 points from top when they sacked him. Ancelotti rates him as a great No.2 and I think at the right club he will become a good manager. I agree though Marcelino would have been a good choice too. Either way YankeeBOB's record doesn't stack up against either of them.
That said, he is our coach now so will have my full support. I am concerned that there is very little info out there as to his style of football. The only one I have seen is based on when he was USA coach which was way back when!!
