Ah yes, but Slade will be "looking for a reaction" on Saturday, the same elusive reaction that he looks for every game. He will get a reaction on Saturday, but it won't be the one he's been looking for.
being savaged by Chris Sutton is a bit like being attacked by a moth..... more of a surprise than a risk of any harm
Not sure - he was a dirty bugger when he played! Strachan is one of those managers that see managing an international side as the last roll of the dice in their managerial career. He'd have never taken that job when his stock was higher, whilst with Cov and soton. He doesn't appear to give a ****. Despite what happened to Sam, and what I think of Southgate, at least they'd have taken the call to be manager of England when asked.
Don't need to say anything about England tonight, it's been said hundreds of times before. The sooner we realise that we are nobodies at international level, the better. Name one player in the England squad that would get in to the first 18 of Germany, Spain etc. Rashford should be starting every game. Not useless **** like Walcott, Hart and Cahill.
Joe Hart proved why he should have been No.1 at Manchester City. Has to be man of the match without a doubt. Has to be the only positive from the entire match.
Afternoon All - site note, Don has today told me he's stepping down as a mod and will no longer be an active member. His reasons stem from no longer being as interested in everything CAFC as he once was. Huge shame, but unfortunately a lot of people seem to be having the same issue around the club. Just want to give my thanks to him for helping out when in a pickle. AH is of corse still on the team so you all have two mods on board should you need anything. Supe
That's sad. Hope it's not a long term thing but I completely sympathise; at the end of last season I unfollowed everything Charlton related on social media as a a kind of detox. Have we lost Eddie too?
Likewise. I don't even get the CAFCOfficial alerts on twitter. NOT606 is now my only Charlton related news site. Just hope when these tossers have gone, attendances and participation increases.
Yep, I fear the long term damage that could be happening to the club as we speak. I'm sure kids in the neighbouring areas aren't dying to be the next Loic Nego, or in more modern times, Kevin Foley.
