Was even enough. Take that chance in first 5 minutes and who knows, you looked solid enough defensively albeit heled by fact we didn't really have any created midfielders playing and Mane/Origi had a bit of a mare.

Don't think midfield did it deliberately, just Stewart is kind of player that wants to drop deep and keep it simple, while Can likes to take 5 touches before making the pass which is where things slow down.

A bit more clinical and you could have been in there though. Few moments when could have ran at the Lucas/Klavan who aren't exactly quick but decided to go sidewards

I have. At times he was terrible for Southampton, the worst player on the pitch but last season here seemed to step it up and so far this season that has continued.

He started off very well here but his last few performances have been poor. It felt like he lost the ball every single time he was on it last night.

I think right now a little reflection is needed.

    Where are we at.

    1. mingolet despite all the abuse given him here showed hes a solid keeper. imagine we had jones here or worse rob green like leeds could have had.

    2. rb taa just gave himself a shot at rb imo. ok not a consistent run but if clyne got susoended id put him in for a game.

    3. we have no left full.. what a brain deadmoron moreno is. all that was missing was a finish to a coyple chances he coughed up or to give away a pen.

    4. cb.. jesus wept. matip and klavan worked ok last rime but christ this was disorganised last night.

    5. cm. we really really dont have quality in depth. can is really as all said a ball hog but pit him deep like he finally ended up and its ok. lfc simply dont have the options here.

    6. forwards. we need another wide player for sure. ejaria was nice for 60mins and thats good on him but hes not a wide player hes a cm. woodburn tapped home. great...

Basically we've a huge injury list right now for our squad size and the warm bodies that we have are not up to it.

Still lots of work to do and to challenge this year we will need all to get fit quick and stay fit.

    Klopp:

"I said [to Woodburn]: 'Well done, But was not too difficult. I would have scored too if I would have been in that situation.'"

Really? A 17 year old in front of the Kop, a goal to seal the win and you describe it as a "tap in".

Many older heads wouldn't have had the confidence to smash it home like that.

All said and done, it was still a tap in.

I'd call it a smash in.

True. I just had a safe feeling when the ball went towards Klavan, he's got far too much experience for a team like Leeds to bother him.

    Excellent back up to have.

Didn't think Lucas and Klavan were terrible. Leeds only really got in a couple of times and neither were particularly their fault. Only issues were with few crosses in 2nd half where luckily they strayed offside but at one points is was 3v2 in the box from a cross.

Lucas is a decent option to have as a ball playing CB when dominating the ball, but he's 5 nothing and not exactly strong so will get bullied at times especially by big strong CFs.

Gave matip and Lovren a rest which sounds like they needed. Hard to complain with a scratch side

Thought Charlie Taylor was possibly MOTM last night. Looked a decent player.

Game was pretty disjointed as you'd expect. Good signs from the young players while Origi showed some great strength and dribbling ability. Just needs to become a focal point to really make it.
