The inter-forum prediction league - Deadline TONIGHT

I'm not sure if Pob is running the inter-forum prediction league again this year via http://www.zdkf1.com/ but it seems he's not so I'm stepping in to the breach. I've contacted Muzz606 and Clip the Apex and they are up for a 3 way league so let the championship begin!

Guide/Rules

• Sign up at http://www.zdkf1.com/. Don't forget your nickname will need to start with "Not606". Mine for example is Not606_BLS
• Predictions must be made by 10pm on the Thursday before a race, up to this point your free to change them
• You predict:
• 1. Who will get Pole Position?
  2. What will the Pole Position Time be?
  3. Who will finish 1st to 10th in the Race?
• It's a risk game so the riskier the prediction (Glock to come 3rd etc.) the higher the score (if your right).

How to score

1. "Pole Position" can gain you points if your selected driver gains Pole or the other front row slot
2. "Pole Position Time" can get you points if you are within 0.25% or 1% of the actual Pole Time set
3. You can also get points for being the "Nearest Competitor" to the actual Pole time for each Grand Prix
4. For the Race itself you can score "Spot-On" points for drivers (they finish bang on the position you predicted)
5. "+/- 1 Position" Points (they finish 1 position either side of where you predicted)
6. "+/- 2 Positions" Points (they finish 2 position either side of where you predicted)
7. "Bonus Points" (how many of your 10 drivers actually finished in the Top 10)

Forum scoring

• Points given out on current F1 scoring system (25-18-15...)
• Only the top two from each forum count
• if more than 2 members from one forum make it into the top 10 they can block that score, eg if Not606 come 1st, 2nd, 3rd then we get 25 and 18 points and no other forum can get the 15 points.
• Thats about it. If there is a individual score tie then the closest pole guess gets the nod.

I think we started last season with less posters than most forums, and ended with a lot more, so hopefully we'll pick up more points this season!

Well, I'm not sure whether me signing up will be good for our score, but I've done it anyway.

 

Its only the top few point scorers each race who contribute to the team score, so you can't pull us down!

I'm here don't worry! I was just waiting for zdkf1 to decide on the driver groupings before posting the thread.

Is there any particular reason why you were doing it just 3-way? New-606 and ja606 both increased in participation near the end of the season; also thef1forum has splintered which should produce some good rivalry too.

If your running a wider reaching league Pob then that's probably the better option

what about Forumula1?

 

vivaf1 played last year, but with only a few players (which dwindled by the end of the season to just str8y who used to run the competition on 606).

I think forumula1 declined my invitation last year but I don't mind trying again. Is there any other forums I should invite?

606 and ITV now defunct; one new forum in F1world created from the split of thef1forum. I haven't invited any new forums yet, any ideas are welcome. I don't know if f1fanatic or f1technical will be playing this year.
