    Shepherd spent the money but got us heavily into debt.
    Shepherd was good at PR too.

    For me it is MA all the way though..

    Ashley for me...The man has ****ed our club over on a number of occasions, but I don't think he fully understood the club's fans and our own particular loyalties and feelings...Shephard ****ed the club over a number of times IN SPITE of knowing the club' fans and their loyalties and feelings!

    Just imagine if it had been Ashley who called Shearer Mary Poppins!

    He's right to a degree.

    You are all jizzing in your pants about Ashley because Pardew and the players are getting good results currently.

    I assure you that the level of adulation for Mike Ashley would contrast massively if we were in the bottom half of the table.

    it's Derek Llambias who's the hateful character on the board. Got no real issues with Ashley and never have done.

    Ashley all the way, and I would have said that at any point throughout his reign, and did, often in fact. Purely because of the business acumen that he has always demonstrated, which is now forming the basis for our position and strength. I have an annoyingly smug told you so going on with a mate in real life lol

    that business acumen wasn't demonstrated with relegation / Dennis Wise / JFK / Keegan / Shearer

    but I think he's learnt from his mistakes, and is taking advice from different people now

    They definitely need better PR though.

    still not a fan of Llambias though. He goes too far. "Sports Direct Arena" is a bad decision, businesswise & for PR.

    and I hasten to add - we would have been relegated, a season earlier, under Shepherd & Alardyce.

    plus probably have gone into administration and not come back up again.
