Be interesting to see how much game time he gets in the next few weeks. Long back, Elia and Mane doing well and Dusan probably the most ability and just waiting to come back to the boil.

 

I would start him on Sunday TBH. Elia and Tadic on the bench.

Ron generally plays new signings straight away. I believe Mane and Elia both started after signing

Very nice that he appreciates a great club with a great feeling. However, I don't want a Dejan Lovren situation either where he shoves off at the earliest opportunity, having successfully got his name in the shop window by playing well. If he gets a permanent move then he honours his contract for at least 3/4s of the way through it.

That goes for all players who have been given a chance when their careers have hit a big dip [Sorry, just been reading some crap said recently by Lovren himself, so I'm on my guard].

Djuricic sounds a little to eager to please. He reminds me of PompeyLapras,he needs to relax,be himself,not to think too far ahead, take his time and see what happens.

 

Impressed with him first half yestyerday but his influence dimmed. Still encouraging start.

I said it last summer, if we couldn't keep hold of players who had been at the club for 10 years+ when the big teams started calling what hope have we got for players who have been with us a season or 2? Look at Mane as an example, doing very well atm, if a top club comes in for him this summer then he will most likely go. He went on strike at Salzburg when we bid for him in the summer, why wouldn't he do something similar again?

It is why I find it hard to get angry at people like Lovren, it is just the way football is and the sort of players who are happy to hang around at the smaller clubs when the real historical elite come calling are few and far between.

He was very good first half. I think he's exactly the kind of attacking player we need in the middle of the park. He should, hopefully, grow into a big asset.

 

I suppose that was nothing to do with him moving back to take JWP's place in midfield?

 

Looked small with no pace. And he needs a) a bit of strength to stay on his feet in the box, or b) a few lessons off Rooney and the Man U thespians.

But i'll give him another game before I send him home.
