“English are masters at diving!”

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Feb 8, 2018.

  1. So says Wenger.

    What a cheeky ****er!

    Of course, he would know.

If we are masters, then he’s our guru!

He has coached a litany of divers at Arsenal, some of the very best, in fact.

I reckon it’s sour grapes, because he knows that Poch has wrested the snorkel, mask and flippers off him.

I can see what he means:

But at least he doesn't make offensive gestures during games:

Or lose him temper and get sent off:

Or make red card tackles when he's frustrated:

  3. Excellent work, PNP!

Perhaps we can use this thread to post up historic examples of players diving during Wenger’s reign, and also to keep an eye on future diving antics?

Oh joy, it's time for hacks and pundits alike to have their annual bout of collective amnesia about Rodney Marsh and Francis Lee being diving scumbags back in the 1970s...

Well, Wenker should know, the crusty old spunker and his players wrote the book on diving.

  6. Surprisingly, Adrian Durham was defending Poch and Alli, on tonight’s show, and suggesting that Wenger is a hypocrite.

  7. "I do not encourage my players to dive." (Arsene Wenger)

Yeah, then what the **** was all this about?

But does not say whether his players get
the hairdryer treatment or get fined by the
    club in private.

You reckon Alli gets the hairdryer from Poch but just ignores him then?

To be fair that was a very poor dive indeed so he's obviously not a master.
