“Raging” Rick Everitt isn’t universally popular

It has all been going relatively well for CARD this week.

News of their Coventry demonstration plans have been met with a generally positive response on Charlton social media. Fans of the Sky Blues have agreed to join in. Meire's invitation for talks with CARD was also met with a reasonable response, only then to be undermined in 7 words by the overblown ego and bitter festering personality of one man-

Who else was responsible for inserting the totally unnecessary and irrelevant phrase in CARD's response:

"your gratuitous and false reference to Peter Varney"

Personally I am sick of Everitt's deviousness, and agenda-driven manipulation of decent Charlton fans.

Sacked for "gross misconduct" by the club, he has never been able to secure a job with a salary anywhere near the one Peter Varney overpaid him. Since then he has used every travail big and small afflicting CAFC to promote "Reg" (zzzz) the well meaning, born again Saint from Ebbsfleet, because Everitt thinks it is his divine right to earn a vast 5 figure salary at "his" club for the rest of his life.

Everitt's inane rantings into his megaphone in the West Stand car park last year are a big reason why those protests petered out. Many fans, me included, will never be associated with this badly dressed operator who is not interested in the "Charlton Party" or even the "Valley Party"...but only the one-man "Rick Party"

"We stand ready to assist any incoming regime" Could ,mean gissa job if it was written by Rick, but I don't know who wrote it. The reference to Varney was only one of loads of points made, I think whoever wrote it wanted to throw everything they could into it. SuperC is right though, they should have waited a bit.

 

But why conflate Peter Varney with this whole business ?

Answer - because it suits the agenda of one individual

If Varney facilitated a new owner, Everett would be in prime position to replace Meire.

Well meaning fans are being manipulated by him

 

Remember the Everett mega phone moment absolutely cringeworthy in the extreme

 

Are the fans really that stupid? I hope this is not becoming an anti-Everitt forum. I don't know the bloke personally, so don't have a view on his ego, or any other aspect of his character. Who cares? And who cares about his politics either? Vol says he's a socialist-so?? Di Canio's a fascist-who cares?

Everitt and the like helped get us back to The Valley.

Everitt and the like have helped promote the dire situation we are in to the masses unaware of the poison that are running this club into the ground.

I fail to see the dislike of people to Everitt given the above, nobody is perfect.

I think you might feel differently if Rick was a Tory. He is a schemer. I have observed him since the VP Days. Could tell you a few stories too.

My problem with rick has always stemmed back to his lies about waggott. He needs to be called out on certain things, but instead he hides behind a "faceless" organisation.

 

Also - Rick's beef didn't start in January 2014. He asked katrien for a job not long after. Ask him if you think that's BS

 

SuperC, Royston, & MikeT: I don't know Rick, and I don't care 2 hoots about any personal failings. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, innit, or something like that. It won't do this forum any good if it becomes an anti-Rick forum.

 

I really don't have a problem with Rick, but I don't know him.

 

It's a forum, opinion will always be divided. However, I think I'm personally justified in my stance, he told outright lies about a friend for his personal gain (well, attempted). Don't care for him or a few others.

When you go to "war" you have to trust those around you. I don't trust him, that's it.

Still think it's worth raising the question if he approached the club about a job after January 2014.
