Transfer Rumours 2 players joining Monday?

Tweet from James Mcnamara just now....

"DC hopes to have two new faces in on Monday. Not definite but hopeful."

He was asked if he knows names or positions. His responses was....

"Think they are trying pretty hard to keep the names of these two under wraps"

"I would imagine one would be a striker. Also looking to add a defender and a wide player before the end of month"

 

Don't think we should mess around with the team to much to be honest I would like to see some of are younger players get a chance like Jamie Lucas who has scored 5 or 6 down at Weston

 

We need Quality to get us A out of this league B to support and encourage the younger players who come up through the youth setup If this means we use the transfer window to enhance the squad then this is what we should be doing. Last season when the players brought in didn't do that some supporters complained that those in charge were not interested so please don't decry them when they are trying to just that

 

need an experience head over taking a gamble on lucas.

dont know but after our last game, he retweeted everyones tweet who asked him if he was coming back. read whatever you want into that but why would he do it if he wasnt going to re-join us!

 

If Easter really is coming that would be brilliant. If DC can motivate him, he'd be the best player in the Conference by a mile!

 

Well I hope so but he would be at Bristol Rovers don't forget probably finish his career off

Rumour going around that ex-City player - Jamie McAllister, COULD be 1 of the 2 players joining us on Monday!!

He was apparently speaking to Twentyman earlier on Radio Bristol and said he was training with a local team. He was pressed who the team was but said he couldn't say who until Monday!

Why Monday? Is it just a coincidence that on Monday we should be announcing 2 signings??

 

Jamie McAllister's been playing on the new super league in India. He would add experience and has been in promotion winning sides.

Easter would be a great signing.

Either or both of these signings would help get us over the line.

I just been having a chat with James Mcnamara. He said Rovers are making good progress on a couple of players and he imagines there should be some news around lunchtime tomorrow (Monday) on signings. Bar any last-minute snags of course. He also added Della-Verde will NOT be re-joining us. Jamie McAllister will also NOT be joining us. He thinks he may join FGR, Newport or Cheltenham as it will be a local club, but will not be us. He also thinks 1 of the signings will be a loan but not sure on the other/s.
